Yes it will, 1.5 dci was mounted in Clio II ph2, and as pH 2 was facelifting without any major changes in construction it should fit without any problems (using parts from pH 2 clio). It may be possible to even fit 1.9 dci engines as non-turbo 1.9 was mounted in clio before 1.5dci was introduced.

The red cap should be plastic or rubber and should be able to be removed. The red cap is a plastic screw top, unscrew it anti clockwise and it will come off. Sometimes pliers are needed as it can be tight.

Updated: On the UK (right hand drive) version of the Megane, there is a small lever on the passenger side under the glove compartment and next to the door. This releases the bonnet.
The Bonnet will now lift up an inch (2-3cm) at the front, and will be held in place by a small retaining clip to a hook that is attached to the front middle underside of bonnet (have a peek through the gap). Lift the clip (located just under the middle front of the bonnet) to release the bonnet completely, then raise bonnet and secure in raised position with small supporting strut on right.

Well now. . . . .after 45 minutes and the intervention of a very nice lady (Nikky of Lookers Chelmsford) and her pet mechanic on the end of the phone, we finally managed to change mph to kph (I feel like an alchemist.)
Alors, pour une Grande Scenic with hands free card you must:
- ensure the ignition is off, so open and close the door if you're already comfortably seated
- Don't be tempted to touch the brake or clutch
- have the hands-free card in your left hand
- press and hold the top computer-control button on the right-hand stalk
- immediately insert the card into the slot
- then (still with the cc button pressed) press and hold the Start button.
- after about 3-5 second the dash will light up with the speedo flashing - but bide your time and keep pressing them buttons.
- after another 3-5 seconds the mph will change to kph but it will still flash so keep your digits stiff and disregard the pain
- after another 3-5 second the flashing will stop, the speedo will be in kph :rofl: and you can stop holding your breathe (Nikky me and the dealer found we were doing this )
- despite what the manual said, and it's no surprise it's wrong in this respect as well, it doesn't revert to mph when you switch off, so you have to go through this again when you return to blighty. But this is a good thing.
It's important that you keep the buttons pressed when the speedo is flashing or it will just abort, even when it shows kph.

once you have removed the hub nut you will need a flat metal plate and a nut & bolt. The plate needs to have 3 holes in it, 1 in the centre and the other 2 to line up with the wheel bolt holes. use 2 wheel bolts to secure the plate to the drum, with the nut & bolt through the centre hole. use the nut & bolt to put tension on the hub shaft then tap the bolt to pull the drum off.
If your rattling noise is coming from behind the dashboard it may be to do with the heater/fan box, replaced a couple.
If the noise is coming from the engine bay, then I`d suggest checking oil level first, if it`s a bit low it can take longer to reach the top of the engine on initial start-up, causing it to rattle.
Otherwise, take it to a mechanic who you trust...

I changed the alternator on my 02 trafic van today, its pretty straight forward job but took a bit of time to actually get at the part needing replacing, i did it on the drive, no jack, you will need a few tools and a couple of torques head sockets to get at the bumper screws, you need to strip of the plastic under tray, and the plastic cover on the right hand side just in front of the drive shaft, this gives you access to the belt tensioner, grill needs to come off, both head lights out and then the front bumper comes off, there's a small plastic shield in front of the alternator that clips out, then its a case of a 17mm socket on to the belt tensioner and dropping the belt off, two bolts hold the alternator on and came out easy , the bottom one will not come all the way out as it fouls the chassis leg, however, the alternator will come out as long as the bolt is as far out as you can get it, theres a slot in the mounting bracket to allow the alternator to pull free, rebuild is the opposite of the stip .. Changing the alternator took me 15m.. Getting acces to it took me a bout a hour

The flap locks and unlocks with the central locking so it should unlock either with the plip key or the button next to the handbrake. It if fails to unlock then the solenoid is faulty but you can release it by removing the drivers' side light cover in the boot and pulling on the cable.
Plip Key Re-SynchingThis applies to cars that are too old for transponder keys, e.g. ph1 Meganes.
If the keys battery dies and the key is no longer synchronised.
What does that mean?
That means when you try and plip open the doors it won't happen and you will also not be able to start the car, like I said before newer cars have a transponder key so if the car doesn't start the keys wrong or the aerial around the ignition barrel is dodgy.

So what do I do?
Well you need to get the keys code.
You need to open the key to get this
that's a key believe it or not and that key ring is a girls key ring, that girl is my mrs so no comments about a love heart key ring to me please!
When you open the key this is what you will find
my finger is actually pointing to the numbers, you can't make them out in that pic due to the fact its a camera phone but the number is there, get it and write it down.
Then pop down to your local friendly Renault dealer. Ask for the code, they might be reluctant to give it to you but theres a space in the handbook for it and remind them that the code is the property of the car not Renault, if they refuse to give you it or try and charge you a fortune then tell them the small claims court will come down heavily in YOUR favour.

So now you have your 4 digit code. In you fat sweaty/well manicured delete as appropriate hand.
Now you need to put it in.
Turn the ignition on, this means dash lights all on and the immobilizer light is flashing quickly.
We shall assume you have a code of 1234
press and hold the central locking button, the flashing will stop then the light will flash again.
Hold it until it flashes once
let go
press again until it flashes twice
let go
press again for 3 flashes
let go
then finally press for 4 flashes
the code is now entered
after you put the last digit in the light will come on then go off for about a second then come back on, this time it will stay on for 30 seconds.
You can now start the car.
If you wish to re-synch the plip enter the code.
When you put the final digit in the light goes out comes back on and back off again (i.e. the 30 second interval) press and hold the central locking button again and the doors should lock and unlock, remove the key and plip away at the sensor, in about 3 tries the doors should lock and unlock again.
The key should now be re-programmed and work as it should.

1. Turn Ignition OFF.

light on the key extinguishes) then press it again 3 times.
Check that the doors lock and unlock correctly.
MEGANE WITH EARLY REMOTE (LED SWITCHES OFF WHEN HOLDINGBUTTON DEPRESSED)
1. Ignition ON
2. Press and hold the central locking button for 5 seconds
3. LED on the dash board will go off, come back on and begin to flash.
The flashes correspond to the first digit of the 4 PIN security code- release
the button when the first digit has been "flashed" and then press
the button again.
4. Wait for the second digit to be "flashed" then release and re-press the
button - continue until all digits have been entered.
5. If you have entered the code correctly the LED will then go out and the
car can be started- to code the remote, switch off the ignition and
press the central locking button again.
6. Press remote button 2 times within the immediate vicinity of the pick
up (in the roof) On some vehicles you may need to switch the ignition
back on to achieve this however.
MEGANE RF RESYNCHRONISING
Hold the remote control button down for longer than 10 seconds (until the red telltale
light on the key extinguishes) then press it again 3 times.
Check that the doors lock and unlock correctly.

I had same problem for nearly a year then looked on internet and the TDC sensor came up on lots of forums. There is a diagram also on parkerforums where this sensor is. All you need to do is clean it with a wire brush and car will run fine for approx 6 months. I have done this now for the last 18 months and every 6 months or so have to just clean the sensor at no cost. Hope this helps.
How do you reset the change oil soon warning on a Renault grand scenic?
You need to hold down the info button on the wiper stalk with the change oil message showing on the screen. This will reset the info.
I have a 2004 Megane and this does not work. It did for the Service Soon Indiction only.
By alternating between depressing the stalk button and then the Start button, the unit goes into a self test mode, but still does not clear the Change Oil Soon indication.
Very frustating to say the least.
