depends on the motor 4 cyl or the 6cyl. i follow the water hoses from the radiator and back track it to the thermostat cover. most of the time its got a big round end that bolts to the block and that's a fair way to find the cover. the other problem is that housing may be behind something else in which case you will have to remove some cover or another hose.

need to know if its a rotor in which case you need some sockets and a tool to turn the caliper just for rear disk brakes. and if you have drums you will need a basic brake tool set it cheaper to get everything and you can use it for almost all brakes that have drum. it will have a the spring tool and what looks like a screwdriver with a socket on the end for getting the hold down spring. and two spoons which are flat bars that turn the adjuster from behind the drum. you will need to replace the wheel cylinder if you see anything leaking inside the drum. since this will keep leaking and screws the brake shoes. clean the parts with brake cleaner and another suggestion. when taking the parts off keep the parts in order on the floor so you can remember what goes where and only take one side off at a time so you can look at the other side to help putting it back togeher. i case you forgot something or need help. i do this and i have doing repairs for years i saves time and you don't mix up the parts since some parts need to go on the same side they come off.

Lift vehicle, remove wheels, loosen master cylinder cap, push back caliper piston by using a screwdriver between the inner pad & the rotor. Remove the caliper retaining bolts, lift off caliper, remove old pads (noting where squealer tab is), replace with new pads. Make sure slider bolts are free and cleanup housing where the pads move back & forth on. Lube with silicone grease or grey antiseize compound. Also a light film of silicone grease on the backing of the pads where they contact the caliper will stop squeals. Reinstall calipers, tighten bolts, put on tires. Pump brake pedal to push out the piston so the pads contact the rotors. Don't push the pedal to the floor when pumping up the brakes, short pumps, no more than 1/3-1/2 of the way down or you could damage the seals in the master cylinder.

On the front of the engine, drivers side, between the radiator and the engine itself, way down low is a yellow plastic dip stick. This is the transmission dip-stick. There is a little clip that needs to be pulled back before you can remove it.

Be sure the transmission is a normal operating temp and on a level surface.

Be careful not to burn yourself! It's hard to reach.

At 60 degrees Fahrenheit, a gallon of pure water weighs 8.34 pounds, whereas a gallon of vehicular gasoline weighs about 6.15 pounds at that temperature. == == Diesel weights about 7.1 pounds per gallon. The answer is really in relation to how much more work the car/vehicle has to do carrying more gas around. Then I suppose you have to offset it with how uneconomic it is to have to regularly stop and fill up. Slowing a car and then accelerating again wastes gas. I suggest removal of all stop signs in the US (I am from the UK by the way)!

Indicates a problem with the airbag system. It probably won't work when you need it, or worse, it might pop when you DON'T need it. Seriously, get it checked.

It most likely means that your thermostat has gone bad. The engine of your car is running too cold and you need to get a new thermostat installed.

The 2006 Saturn Vue uses a Honda engine and transmission. This Honda V6 engine has a timing belt which must be replaced every 100,000 miles. The water pump should also be replaced at the same time as it is driven by the cam belt. Warning:This is an interference engine. Serious engine damage will occur if the belt breaks.

The Autozone web site says 7.00 ounces.

My experience with a turn signal problem on my '02 VUE is related to the 4-way hazard switch. If I press lightly and fiddle around with the 4-way while the turn signal is set,

the turn signal will start blinking. I'm only guessing here, but I believe it's a problem with the location of the 4-way switch--being so close to the center air vent, that when AC runs and gets the switch extremely cold, humidity is wetting the switch so that it's corroding internally.

I've gotten temporary relief from the problem by juicing around the switch with electrical contact cleaner, and keeping a rag handy to wipe the excess as it flows out. Gets me a couple of days of working right.

I haven't gotten around to replacing the switch yet, but I believe that would fix the problem. At least until the new switch corrodes likewise. This is a design defect.

I hope Saturn engineers will take note.

If you have a 4 cylinder it is a paper filter. You can get a Fram filter at your local Walmart. When you change it make sure you put the right side up inside the filter housing.

I have a 2002 Vue with 2.2 Liter engine and manual 5 speed. Living in Florida the battery usually doesn't last longer than two years, three tops. I have replaced my battery two times (me, not the shop) and have never had the security alarm go off. Not sure why it would go off unless there was a problem in the system.

reach behind the alternator and down. there is a cap on the resivior. get a long funnel and pour a little at a time and keep checking. although I know that year had problems with their powersteering systems.

might be a belt pulley. Best take it somewhere so a mechanic could hear it and give you some guidance

Turn the key to the "on" position without starting the car. After the dash light test completes (all the lights go off except what should be on) fully press the accelerator pedal to the floor three times. The oil life light should start flashing, indicating that it is reset.

Remove the tire and wheel. Remove the axle end cap. Remove the axle seal with a seal puller. Reverse the process to install the new axle seal.

When you open the hood, there's a black rectangular box about the width of a battery. This is just a protection cover. Remove the 3 screws, lift the cover and you will see the battery.

drain radiator by unscrewing drain plug at bottom of radiator.

drain fluid, close drain plug, fill with distilled water(in resivoir tank ) run till hot , turn on heater on high in car, drain water , repeat 3 times .

last time add pure coolant it will mix with water in block for 50/50 % mixture.

run and top off to full line on resivoir tank , check next few days make sure its on the full line marking on resivior tank.. Repeat every 4 years to be safe.

Trouble code P0705 means: Transmission Range Sensor Circuit (PRNDL Input) Need to replace the sensor

not sure what kind of axle you have and where its leaking. are you sure its not the brake fluid leaking which is above the axle seal to make sure that's not the problem which is easier to fix. as for the axle seal on the chevys the axle would have to be pulled out which means pull the rear cover off and taking the lock pin out pushing the pin out and then remove the axle ring then you can pull the alxe out. that for a solid axle. if you have an independent then you would have cv axles in which case they have wheel bearings and then it would be the brakes leaking. wish you had more info.

There is a sticker on the radiater support(rad yoke) that gives basic engine info, and the routing of the belt.
