No other markings? If not marked with the manufacturer's name or trademark it may be impossible to make a positive identification. If you can post pictures on the Gun ID & Value board at www.shotgunworld.com, someone may recognize it from the style. However, lacking such an identifying mark does indicate that it is most likely a utility-grade gun and as such the going price would probably be about $150 assuming it is complete and undamaged but not in like-new condition. And if gggranddad bought it new, we know it is 108 years old. If second hand, it could be 30-35 years older than that. (It is a breech-loading gun? If percussion muzzle loader would be c. 1810 - 1875, flintlock even older.)

Folsom imported most of these Belgian shotguns from about 1893 to WWI. I doubt if any factory documents still exist to determine the exact manufacture date.

Your Knickerbocker shotgun was mad by the firm Cresent firearms Co.They were in business between 1880,s up till 1932.This firm made many shotguns under different hardware store names,of which yours is one.These were utility grade shotguns made for the general public and many farm owners of the day.there price was resonable for the working familiy,s of the time.

Stoeger is a Turkish made semi- auto shotgun. It is based on benelli's inertia system which has proven to be extremely reliable in harsh hunting conditions. As opposed to a gas systems which use gases from the firing of the shotgun to cycle the action, the inertia systm uses the recoil and the actual force from the discharged shell to cycle it. Since there are no gases escaping or being used they are known for being extremely "clean" guns. Meaning they can go long periods without cleaning. Some people feel there is more felt recoil than in a gas gun but trade that off for the reliability. Similar guns are the benelli m2 and franchi I12. Both are considerabley more expensive and made in Italy.

This is a Marlin model 81 wearing a Sears & Roebuck brand name. Can't locate production dates for this model, but somewhere around 1940.

I have an Over & Under "Ranger 103, 12 guage Shotgun. I haven't been able to find it in any of the books.

I thought that Marlin made it but it wasn't listed as that either.

Bernie - The 103.13 is a Marlin 81. Made in the 1960's. It is a rifle, not a shotgun. It should be a good 'plinker' or small varmint gun, but has no significant value. Probably around $80-$100 in Very Good condition.

I believe the company that actually made the model XNH-804 was called Noble.

First, unscrew the magazine tube cap, located at the end of the forearm. Then pull the action back to about half-way, then you should be able to pull and jiggle the barrel and forearm free.

To reassemble, slide the barrel and forearm back on, and pull the action back until the barrel slides into place, then rescrew the magazine tube cap.

i dont know but i am guessing not over 500 dollars because that what all the other models are not over 500$ the reason i kno is because i have the same gun you have in good condition about 400 in great about 600 or 700 depending on which model year it is and if you still have the box add on a few hundred

The mfg. suggested retail is around $1350 or even a tad higher, but a gun in "new" condition (read "unfired") would likely have a real world value of $850 to $950. That is what a gun dealer in the Dakota's, for instance, may ask for a brand new Brittany. If one were to advertise in a newspaper classifed section, one might get that much, but folks usually seek some kind of a bargin outside of true retail setting. Therefore, I'd ask $750 for an unfired gun, and go downward from there, depending on the condition of the gun (if it has been used). You may want to consult the Blue Book of Gun Values for the increments of used gun pricing for this model.
