318cc. is 8hp. 305cc.is probably between a 6 to an 8hp.

First of all, Dont bother. It will be extremely expensive and will probably never make it to the roads.

But if you did want to make one, this is how i'd go about it.

It is advisable to start with a chassis with front brakes to avoid having to add these.

I would start with 4 poles, welded vertically, from beside the kingpin for the stub axles, at the front of the kart, and between the seat mounts and the rear axle on either side, possibly welded along the front of the axle bearings for strength and support, then, i would add lights to these, of course according to the types required by your country of residence's requirements. These will have to be at the correct height, again according to your country of residence's regulations.

Between these rear posts, i would run a horizontal bar, for structural support of the rear posts, and to run a horizontal centre brake light, again the height of these is subject to regulations.

For easy access, and to avoid having to have wires moving throughout usage i would suggest placing the ignition, indicators and hazard light switches on a plate on or just above the fuel tank mount (assuming that it is in a standard kart set up with the fuel tank beneath the legs)

Also slick tyres are not road legal, so you will have to find tyres that are road legal, which may be difficult for a vehicle of that size.

This is just scratching the surface as there are far more things to consider than this, which is why i said, "Don't bother".

How to put new belt on

Two nuts under the tunnel at the rear of the track. Remove them lift the seat until it clears the studs, pull it back to release the front hook. How you can unplug the tail light wiring, and it should be able to remove from sled.

For the aluminum the intake valve clearance is .005 to .007 inches.

exhaust valve clearance is .007 to .009 inches.

Cast iron is - intake valve is .007 to .009. inches

exhaust valve is .017 to .019 inches

This part as you may know has been descontinued in the line of force/Sears/Gamefisher, in fact you will not be able to order it from any aftermarket companies and in adition to that, these parts are so rare that you won't find them used for sale online.

3 solutions: 1st; purchase a non working (for parts) 9.9hp/15hp Force, Sears or gamefisher outboard and remove part needed.

2nd; go to a local used marine parts retail store (they ussually have hundreds of outboards sitting in the back ) and look for the part that you are looking for. Most times its a do it yourself kind of thing.

3rd; find a used pair of ignition coils made by Mercury/ Evinrude/ Johnson (with aprox the same year and horse power) and re-wire them based on its specifications (make sure they are grounded properly) . this 3rd solution is a litle more complicated based on the fact that you will need to tap new screw holes etc etc, the good thing is that by doing it this way your outboard will perform better because mercury,evinrude and jonhson's ignition coils are the best ever made and will perform great for years. for further questions please feel free to ask at ladron16@live.com (this is what I did and I have been enjoying my 14 ft john boat and It has never run as good as it does now)

Briggs doesn't publish engine compression specs, but 120 is good. 100 is okay. 80 is lousy.

By having the number researched at your local John Deere dealer they can easily tell you the year for most tractors produced.
