If the question is about a single stamp, then Sweden's 1855 Three Skilling Banco printed in Yellow (Error of Color) is the rarest and most expensive stamp ever sold to date. It was printed with the ink meant for the 8 skilling banco of the same set. From this period some 95 percent of all stamps issued were never saved, therefore it is conceivable that there may have been more copies released which were used and then trashed by the recipiant. However, the most expensive single stamp collector's item ever sold is actually a cover with two different rare stamps tied together onto the one cover. In 1847 the British colony of Mauritius printed only 500 examples each of its first two stamps with respective face values of 1d and 2d. In total fewer than 30 of these very rare stamps survive today. In 1993 one cover with both the 1d and the 2d stamps attached side by side and tied together with a single cancelation mark sold for $3.8 million USD, the highest price ever paid for a stamp collecting item.

The Weeping Princess is a rare stamp that has a dot below Princess Elizabeth's eye that is a flaw in the printing of the sheet of stamps. The series was created for the 1935 Silver Jubilee of King George V.

If it were convertible into US currency (which it isn't - Italy now uses the Euro), it would be less than 1 US cent. In terms of numismatic value (that is, the value of a 10 lire coin to a collector), it would depend on the year and condition.

Mint US stamps are worth their face value to use as postage, so use yours that way, if you need postage. The stamp is a rather strange denomination, so you might want to

ask any collector friends if they like it.

Otherwise, your stamp has negligible value ( less than 25 cent retail) , but please do not throw it away! Keep it in your stamp collection for your children or yourself when you have more time. If you have more than one, you may be able to trade it for stamps of similar value. .

Or give it to a collector friend. Collectors always appreciate the thought even it they do not need the stamp.

The 20-cent Harry S. Truman regular stamp was issued on January 26, 1984, in Washington, DC. The stamp issuance honored the centennial of the birth of the 33rd US president (1945-53).

Harry S. Truman (1884-1972) entered politics as a county judge in 1922. He was Franklin D. Roosevelt's running mate in 1944. His vice presidency lasted less than three months, until Roosevelt's death on April 12, 1945. Truman spent a turbulent period in office, and he ordered the atomic bombings on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 and Korean War in 1950. He is considered a man who led the US into international confrontation with Soviet and Chinese communism.

The stamp was engraved through the intaglio process.
