If you're trying to use an old/used door lock to replace one on your car, you can take it to an automotive locksmith. The chrome cap will have to be removed and replaced and the wafers in the lock will have to be matched to your existing key. You can then install the lock in your vehicle and your old key will fit all locks once more. The locksmith should also be able to provide you with a new lock retainer for installing the lock into the door. If it's not a door but the ignition, a good locksmith can hand-cut a new key to an old ignition lock, or if the ignition isn't installed yet, he can also set the lock up to fit your existing key. Use caution when replacing ignition locks. Incorrect installation can lead to dangerous conditions while driving. If your vehicle has airbags, leave it to a professional. Airbags can be dangerous and require special handling while working around.

I know nothing about your vehicle, but here's what I can tell you... If you need "clutch fluid" you have one of two things on your hand. Someone is either pulling your chain or you have a hydraulic throwout bearing. A throwout bearing is what makes a clutch do it's job. I know that some hydraulic clutches use the same fluid reservoir as the brakes do so, checking your brake fluid might be one solution. The other, your clutch has it's own reservoir which should be right around close to the brake fluid reservoir. I think it uses the same fluid like my ford Bronco does. I would ask your local auto parts store first just to make sure. Adding the wrong fluid could cost you dearly. P.S. I prefer Advance Auto in my hometown. They will have no problem going outside to help point out their advice. Their aftermarket selection of inventory is above average and the few problems that I have had with them, they were always willing to accomodate my returns. They price match local competitors. They can perform some diagnostics checks for you for free. They can also test some of the electrical components from your car for you if you think one might be faulty. Good luck and Good Day!

You can pull the motor or thetransmission, though the trans is easier. But if you need to ask you should probably take it to a shop.

The diagnostic Connection was started on all vehicles in 1996, so the 1992 Subaru does not have one.

Thermostat Spring always goes towards the engine

In a 2005 you will need to drain the oil in the oil pan 1st. (oviously) they there is a panel underneath the car that sais "oil filter". remove panel, and turn filter to the left ( if u are lying on your back). IF you cant get filter to turn auto stores have a little metal ring that hooks up to a socket for better grip. IF all else fails get out the trusty scewdriver and hammer !!

thermostat is located behind the lower radiator hose (low). there is two or three bolts that hold the thermostat housing to the engine block. the thermostat is behind it. you can drain the radi. threw the drain or just remove hose clamp and pull off hose. lots of coolant, little messy but quick. after you remove the old thermostat remember how it came out. make sure the area the t-stat sits in is clean. replace with new t-stat and reassemble. carefully tightening bolts, 14-18 foot pounds. get bolts tight and give a good snug. would recommend replacing coolant lost with new coolant. if not sure what kind , just use universal coolant

You can cheat and put a we slit in the vaccum pipe, connected to the actuator or attach a bleed valve to it. you will have 2 actuators if you have a subaru legacy gt or rs. What happens is that less pressure goes to the actuator. so the waste gate opens less meaning that more exahust gases go into the exhaust housing on the turbo charger, driving the turbo harder and faster. You may also need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator to send more fuel to you engine. I would not recomend that you turn it up past a BAR of boost, or 14.7psi yours faithfully Wiseman

I have an 05 5sp gt and just changed to castrol edge titanium 5w30 runs better than what was in it, definitely a power increase. the manual calls for synthetic 5w30 on the turbo model, pick a brand you trust and change every 3-3.5k miles an you'll be fine.

This question has been asked before. The answer depends on why you are asking. Draining fluid with the drain plug, refilling will take about 4 quarts. You should do this at least yearly to get long life from your transmission. Good luck! --Ken

For the LH side remove the screen washer bottle (two screws and two hoses). For the RH side remove the air inlet ducting (two screws on the radiator crossmember, a bolt and a nut secure the rest of the ducting). Remove the plug leads by pulling on the lugs, not the cable. The plugs are best removed using a 3/8" drive 5/8" (16mm) spark plug socket on a 6" (150mm) extension, and a ratchet.
