The 2012 Suzuki Grand-Vitara has an inline 4 engine.

It is on the passenger side of the radiator, just behind the front grill. You will probably need to remove the front grill to get access to it.

Automatic: Either transmission fluid level or oil pressure. If the fluid level is OK get a transmission service. That will either cure the fault or show where it is. Manual: Weak clutch cover diaphragm springs.

with 2.5 H25 engine is 7.1L

Left to the Shift Stick is a general power switch for all gears across the transmission. Operates the Power indicator light on the dash as well. It allows the car to rev out a little longer between gear changes. For added pick up.

it has it's own tank drivers side panel in rear where jack is located. Will need a long neck funnel to fill it. I never use mine either.

After you have removed the calipers and brake pad bridge you need to use 2 8mm x 125 pitch bolts they need to be about 1 inch long screw them in to the holes that are provided screw them until they pop off

I just spent 2 hours trying to figure it out myself! I took apart much more than was required because I was told I had to remove "several" screws. Also that it was a 30 minutes to an hour job to replace the filters.

The reality is that one (1) screw had to be removed and it shouild've taken less than 10 minutes to complete the job.

Here is what you should do:

Open the Glove Box Door.

Remove the screw that is on the right side nearest the hinge. (10mm hex or Phillips head screwdriver)

The door and box come out by moving the unit toward the right.

You can now see the heater core box (black plastic housing) and the inside/outside air door (white plastic housing). If you slide the selector you will see it move.

Immediately to the left of the inside/outside air intake is a one (1") inch wide black strip that is eight or nine inches tall. The retaining tabs wrap over the top and the bottom edges. I pried down on the bottom tab and pulled forward and lifted upward. Then I slide it to the right a bit to access the top filter.

I pulled out the top half of the filter. I then pushed the bottom half of the filter upward to clear the steel framework and slide it out the same way as the top half came out.

Slid in the the bottom filter observing air flow direction (right to left) and slid it to the bottom and then the top filter slides right snug on top.

Snap the 1 inch wide cover back in place.

Slide the door back into place and secure with the one screw and you are done!

My book told me to fill them until it started running out of the transfer case and differencial. Worked fine for me...

The fluid is pumped from the washer fluid tank under the hood, there is no separate tank for the rear. Hold the washer button a bit longer, it takes a few seconds to pump the fluid all the way back there.

how do i get to the tail light fuse in order to change it?

The fuse box is located on the left side of the bike. you have to first remove the seat, then the black panel below it, then the chrome panel below that. there is a black box with "fuse" stamped on it.

Diesel Grand Vitara engine problems can be caused by low-quality oil or coolant leaks. Fouled spark plugs can also cause the problems.

On our 2001 1.6 Vitar it was the EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) sensor that had failed. Cost £160 to replace. You can reset the light off for a time by disconnecting the battery for ~5 minutes

Evaporator drain tube: On left hand drive models it is on right hand side of the vehicle (drivind direction), located above the transmission on the engine side of the firewall (under the hood). It is VERY hard to see but you can try to locate it coming out from the firewall on the place where the firewall bends a little back and down. It is about 1/2" (2-3cm) long black rubber tube that looks like a ducks nose (the end is flat). You can see it from the left side of the engine on the firewall. Actually if you look down from left side on that plastic panel that covers the engine it might be easier to locate. And it is also very hard to reach . I did manage to blow compressed air in to that tube and quite a lot water came out from there. I also removed the glove compartment and the fan and cleaned all. There were also some water.

Open the glove box. On the right hand side of the glove box there's a little hinge, remove that first, then remove the glove box by pushing in on both sides and pulling down gently. Up inside the glove box hole there is a white plastic piece with 2 clips on each side, pull those out and remove the plastic guard. Pull old cabin filter out and replace with new cabin filter and reassemble cover and glove box.
