Why does 2004 suzuki forenza start then dies when engine is cold but runs when engine is warm warm?
i really think it is the MAP sensor it will choke out the engine until the MAP sensor clears out of water or ice it is located just below the throttle body near the fuel injectors has one torx screw holding it in you can google it to see what it looks like it might just need a clean out
this is repair bulletins and commonly occurring problems for a particular vehicle these trouble spots are Technical Service Bulletins posted by the manufacturer
Check-engine light: The check engine light may illuminate and the engine may stumble, hesitate or lack power in cold weather due to ice building up in the MAP sensor port. (2004-08)
Cold-starting problems: The engine may not start as quickly as normal when the weather turns cool and low volatility fuel is in the tank requiring recalibration of the powertrain control unit. (2006--07)
Cold-starting problems: The idle may jump to as high as 2,000 rpm when coming to a stop on vehicles with manual transmissions, or it may idle rough or stall with an automatic while the engine is cold after cold soak, requiring a computer flash. (2004-05)
Electrical problem: Damaged insulation on wiring harness between left fender and its liner results in short or opens, causing various components (from lights, fuel pump, rear defogger, etc.--about 40 circuits in all) to quit working. (2004-05)
How do you change oil in Suzuki Bandit?
Oil cooled Bandits (600, 650 and 1200, up to 2007 model year):
- Warm up the engine to the operating temperature. It's necessary for the quicker and more thorough draining of the oil.
- Remove the oil filler cap.
- Remove the oil drain plug (pay attention to the thread direction - the plug is upside-down) and drain the oil. The engine and oil are hot, so take adequate precautions to avoid burns.
- Remove the oil filter. If it was installed too tight and you don't have the filter wrench you can drive a sharp screwdriver through the filter and use it as a handle.
- Install the new oil filter. Smear some oil over the rubber gasket and tighten by hand only.
- Reinstall the oil drain plug. Replace the crush washer if it's worn and do not over-tighten the plug.
- Pour new oil through the filler hole. Use a long narrow funnel or make one out of cardboard.
Oil capacity (GSF1200):
Engine oil, without filter.............3.3L (3.5 US/2.9 /IMP Qt)
With filter.................................3.5L (3.7 US/3.1 /IMP Qt)
Engine overhaul........................4.6L (4.9 US/4.0 /IMP Qt)
- Replace the oil filler cap.
- Run the engine for a while. This is necessary to distribute the oil throughout the engine.
- Check oil level and add more oil if necessary. Oil level is checked while the bike is vertical with you sitting on it and both wheels on the ground (not on the center stand). If you check oil level while on the center stand, do not fill to more than 1/3 of the oil check window (the level goes up by about 1/3 to 1/2 when the bike is on the wheels).
The previous answer was apparently for the water cooled engine. I cannot confirm it's accuracy:
You must remove the radiator hose to get the filter out. It states this in the manual. That's why I sold mine. Then remove the tank and refill the radiator.

I bought a new vitara in 1988 and almost nothing every went wrong with it, through to now, that's 20 years later. I had to change the clutch once and of course the battery, tyres etc a few times. That's in 235000 kilometres. I don't want to sell it now, it starts like brand new every time, but I bought a grand vitara XL-7, and have too many cars and bikes now.
Suzuki is bloody fantastic. If you don't want trouble and grief and costs in motoring, I don't think any other manufacturer is as good.... period. +++++ Different Owner +++++++ I have a 2001 Grand Vitera XL7 and I've never had to do anything but regular maintanence. Since I drive for work and my Suzuki was up to 130K+ miles, I purchased a 2008 Toyota RAV4 last summer. I HATE the new RAV compared to my old Suzuki!

How do you change a Serpentine belt on a 2000 Suzuki Vitara with a 2 liter engine?
It's not so hard. Open the bonnet and face the engine. Note the routing of the belt, draw it if you won't remember.
There will be a smooth (no grooves) pulley towards the top middle. Below this to the left is another smooth pulley. The belt should run over (on top of) this one. It is the belt tensioner. To loosen the belt, place a wrench or socket at the 12 o'clock position and turn it clockwise about a quarter turn. This moves the tensioner pulley down away from the belt, loosening the belt. Remove the belt. If the belt is not broken, remove it by working it carefully around and below the radiator fan, between the fan and radiator.
To put the new belt on work it around the fan in the same way. Route the belt over all the pulleys except the tensioner (using memory or the drawing you made earlier). Again loosen the tensioner using the wrench or socket and slip the new belt over the tensioner pulley. Check the tension.

About how fast can a stock Suzuki Raider 150 go?
THIS might put a lot of unreasonable expectations in younger people who own a Suzuki Raider 150. Fresh from a good, well-performed break-in, an older Suzuki Raider 150 2005 model will go up to a fair 130 to 140 KPH if the driver weighs 125 lbs. and shifts gears at 11,000 RPM. I own 3 Suzuki Raiders (2005, 2007 and 2009 models) and have yet to see one that comes out of the break-in period that can run 150 KPH, let alone 140 KPH. So don't lose heart if your stock Raider 150 doesn't even hit 130 KPH- that speed is quite difficult to achieve without altering your engine, intake and exhaust ports, and the exhaust pipe. Most of all, getting a stock Raider 150 to hit 130 KPH requires skill, experience, and a LOT of clear open road. Be safe. Test drive your motorbike on the race track and wear a helmet, riding boots, and safety gear. The faster you go, the shorter time it takes to die on the road.

It wants to degrade you. It sounds like the heater matrix is leaking engine coolant. the matrix is located behind the dash
How do you change coolant in a 2005 Suzuki boulevard c50?
take off the coolant fairing. This is located directly below the built in tool box on the gear shift side. You will need to take off the tool box fairing as well. The coolant fairing is fastened with three Allen head bolts: one on top and two on bottom. There appears to be an Allen head bolt easily seen on the outside of the fairing. this is just a beauty bolt.
To drain the coolant you need some form of siphening kit or tube. There is no drain plug. Put in new coolant, replace fairings, and you are ready to go.
