Be more specific, if the fan speed only works on high then it is most cases a bad resistor board for the fan, a $10-20 part, available from an advance, murrays, or lee or similar auto parts store.

I had same problem. Check you brake lights. They are not working right? There is a safety switch at the back of your brake pedal. should be white box attached to the shaft behind the pedal. Follow the 2 wires attached to that white safety switch box and see if they are cut or unplugged. that switch locks up your button on the shifter so you cant get it out of park. (for safety reasons.)

sometime the brake release switch may not work. depress the brake see if the brake lights is working. it may be connected or may have a separate switch. new vehicle you must put your foot on the brakes to shift out of park some vehicle have a by pass switch on the gear shifter.. sometimes the switch might just slip out of the holder for the release check for broken wire good luck hope this help

almost always with this code, replace the mass airflow sensor. the part is about 150.00 and installation is a snap. 2 screws and a plug in a very easy place to find. (right on the aircleaner box)

its called a neutral safety switch. its located on the transmission wher the shift cable connects, see wiring connector where shift cable is connected,that is your neutral safety switch (park-neutral) Cheers!!!!!

You can reset the 2007 Avalon maintenance light by setting the oil life to 100 percent. When the oil life display is on your monitor, hold in the scroll button until it goes to 100 percent.

ECT stand for electronically controlled transmission.

This means it uses the computer to send a signal to the transmission to allow each gear to be held longer and rpm's are pushed higher before shifting up.

This is used when u need to go faster or more power.

Tire out of balance, bent wheel, defective tire, or loose lug nuts. Have the tires/wheels inspected, rotated, and balanced.

If it smells musty check the evaporator drain hose hose.

If intermittent wiper won't work either, it is most likely a bad wiper motor. Had a dealer replace the wiper switch, but that did not fix either problem. After dealer replaced wiper motor, problems were resolved.

This involves removing the little "shock" on one side and then squeezing in the sides of the door while pulling down. The door will swing down far enough so you have access to the filter. Look for a panel or door about 2 x 8 inches and the filter is in there. Squeeze the tabs on the side of the plastic filter cover and remove the cover. Then slide out the filter.

Answer You have a short, or a bare wire touching something within your signal light system or even maybe in your fuse box. Look for a wire that is crimped or bent and see if it's not bare and touching something steel in your car.

A rapid deceleration and low rpm's on a 1999 Avalon might be caused by a misfire of the engine. This problem can also occur if the car is shifting too soon. The shift solenoid might also be the problem.

I changed the handle on my 2000 Avalon by following an on-line search result for replacing a Camry door handle for the same model year. Because many more Camrys are sold than Avalons, replacement parts are also readily available, at lower prices than the Avalon parts (they are not the same). I got my replacement handle from the local Toy dealer.

See a partial answer under " remove door panel for 1999 Avalon". That's the major part. The handle itself will be easy to replace once the panel is off.

I just replaced the passenger side turn signal bulb. I had to jack up the car, remove the wheel and then open up the plastic liner to the wheel well. I was able to reach in and remove the bulb and socket from the lens assembly with a small counter clock wise twist. Next I pulled the socket/bulb toward me. I was able to just pull the bulb out and push in the new bulb. After testing the turn signal to ensure that this bulb really was the problem, I re-inserted the bulb/socket into the lens assembly and gave a small clockwise turn to lock it in place. Then I just re-attached the wheel well liner. Lastly, I replaced the wheel.
