Where is the fuse box location on a Toyota Corolla?

The fuse box for Toyota corolla 1993-97 models is located under the hood just behind the battery (on the driver side). Should be fairly easy to locate 2 black plastic enclosures with components listed on the top of the box. Just pop open the lid of the box to have access to the fuses. Hint: There is plastic fuse plucker attached on the inside of the lid to help remove fuses.

There is also a fuse panel in the driver's side and passenger side kicker panels if those were the fuses you were needing to locate.(At least on the '97 Corolla.) If you have the Owner's manual for the vehicle, it will tell you as well as show you where the fuses are located.

Does a 1986 Toyota Corolla have a horn relay problem if fuses and horn are good but it still doesn't work?

The horn should have two wires going to it. One wire is supposed to be hot (battery voltage 12v). The second wire is open but gets grounded when the horn button is depressed, thus completing the electrical circuit and making the horn toot.

So, the first check is: are you getting 12v on one of the two wires?

the second check is: when a helper presses the horn button do you get ground to the second of the two wires?

The third check is: if you ground the second wire at the horn does it toot?

If the first check does not produce 12v, then the fuse is blown or the wire from the fuse to the horn is defective.

If the second check does not ground the wire, then the wire to horn button is defective or the horn button itself is defective.

If the third check does not toot the horn, replace the horn itself.

Will not start after refueling?

I just fixed a similar problem on a Toyota Corolla. I'm not certain if your car's EVAP system setup is the same, but this could resolve your problem as well. Your car may have one or both: A refuel check valve, and/or a fuel cutoff valve. Generally these are located off of the fill tube, but the cutoff valve may be mounted on the fuel tank.

The problem occurs when your fuel tank is overfilled and/or gas flows into the EVAP line. The gas is too high in the filler neck thereby causing fuel to flow into the charcoal canister. A defective refuel and/or fuel cutoff valve would cause this problem. The cutoff valve prevents fuel from flowing into the canister, and the refuel valve helps to trigger the gas pump to stop.

Test refuel check valve (if installed) by blowing air from larger to smaller port. Air should not flow freely and the valve should open as pressure increases. Air should flow freely when blowing from smaller to larger port. Replace valve if it fails either test.

Test the fuel cutoff valve by holding it upright, as installed on car; air should flow freely. Turning upside down should prevent airflow. Also, fuel present in the check valve may indicate the tank was over filled meaning you possibly have fuel in your charcoal canister.

Is your engine warning light on? For the Toyota, code P0441 "Incorrect Purge Flow" was present. Just replacing a defective valve may not get rid of the code. It's possible that your charcoal canister was saturated with gasoline too so that may need to be replaced. I also heard of a situation where the fuel tank was contaminated and had to be cleaned.

Replacing the cutoff valve solved my problem. Good luck! Related Links: http://www.fixya.com/cars/t1795875-car_start_right_away_after_refueling http://www.2carpros.com/forum/1998-toyota-corolla-vt190664.html

Do you need to change the timing chain of corolla 2004 s?

Corolla's don't need their timing belt changed...I found that out when I thought I needed to replace the belt in my corolla. The manual and the master mechanic my step dad is friends with said that it never needs to be changed. It's weird, but my car is 12 years old and the timing belt still looks brand new. Apparently corolla's are like that.

Where is 2001 Corolla engine block coolant drain plug located?

If you stand against the driver's side fender, facing the engine, it will be on the side of the block facing toward the rear of the car. If you bend at the waist and snake your right hand in front of the heat shield and just under the exhaust manifold with a 10 mm in a small handled 1/4" socket driver you can reach it. It's obvious once you see it--it's tall and stands away from the block about a 3/8"; but you can only see it from above with your head down. I spent alot of time on my back looking at the front of the block--it's not there; it's just under the end of the exhaust manifold toward the back of the engine.

If the manifold is hot, you will burn the back your hand just between the base of the thumb and first finger.

How much horsepower does a corolla have?

Depends on model year and any modifications done to the engine. Stock HP for North American bound Corollas range anywhere from a 1st generation Corolla (1966-1969) 1.1L carburated engines with 60HP all the way to a 9th generation 2005-2006 Corolla XRS 1.8L VVTL-i engine with 170HP. Once you get into modified Corollas, the only limit is with how much time, effort, and money will be expended to get your HP goals. Good example is the UK's Fensport Corolla - heavily modified, makes in excess of 650HP.

How do you remove rear seat from 2010 corolla?

I was a little bit hesitant to be very forceful with this, but in the 2010 toyota corolla the seat is only held in place by a couple of catch pins, one on each side of the seat, about 8 inches in from the side.

You can slide you hand under the seat from the center towards the door and notice when it becomes snug because of the clips. You just need to press your knee on the back of the seat cushion (just as a place to brace yourself) and pull up on the front of the seat near those pins, it will pop right up. Do this on both sides and the seat will come right out.

Putting the seat back in is just the reverse, the only gotcha is there is a little metal bar that sticks off the back of the seat, you just need to line it up as you center the seat to push it back into place and then push it back down into the pin lock holes.
