How to change the oil in a 2007 corolla?

You will need 4 quarts of engine oil, a funnel, oil filter, 14mm socket, a wrench, oil filter remover, and some rags.

Lift up the car and use jack stands under the vehicle for your safety and others.

The oil drain plug and filter is located on the passenger side of the vehicle.

With 14mm socket and a wrench, unscrew the drain plug and drain the dirty oil out into an oil pail ( Note: if you take off the engine oil cap, it will drain faster). Wait till it fully drains, then put the oil plug back on and hand tighten.

Then locate the oil filter which is in between the engine and transmission. If you have never changed your oil before and have taken it to the dealership or lube center, they tighten the crap out of the oil filter so you may need to use a oil filter wrench or socket to help you loosen it. When you install the new filter you can hand-tighten it

anyways, once you get the old filter off, check to see that the gasket is off too. Grab your new filter and put a little oil in there and rub some oil on the new filter gasket. Put on your new filter and tighten it.

remove Jack stands and set you Corolla back on flat surface and using a funnel pour 3.9 quarts ( it doesn't hurt to use 4 quarts of oil) into your Corolla's engine. check the oil dip stick to see the "max line" mark is soaked in oil then your good to go.

How do i fix the Egr valve in a 1997 Pontiac transsport?

First verify that you haven't got a clogged passage in the intake. Remove the valve and start the engine. If it starts and runs (possibly at an abnormally high idle) reasonably well, the passage is clogged and must be cleaned.

Otherwise, put a new EGR valve on it. The valve itselt is not repairable.

How do you reflash computer on 2003 Toyota Corolla?

This will have to be done by a Toyota dealership unless you have access to a module programmer. Then you will then have to know the input parameters for it. There can be a alot of them depending on the model. I would take it to a dealership. Good luck. If you just want to remove the code then use a scanner that has erasing capability. Remove the code before attempting a restart. This will force the computer to recheck everything as though it was normal.

05 Corolla T2 Rear seat belt locks on and won't free up unless unplugged its ok when I try it out but my wife and mum have had the problem is it possible that it to do with height or size?

If your car is a 1996 or newer, the retractor is usually a SWITCHABLE retractor - meaning that it can switch from the usual mode of locking only in an EMERGENCY, to a mode where it locks at all times - called the AUTOMATIC locking mode. Changing the belt from the EMERGENCY to AUTOMATIC locking modes is easy - simply pull the shoulder belt out all the way (do it slowly) - when you get to the very end, let the belt go back in. As it goes back in you will likely hear a ratcheting sound - and if you give a gentle pull you will notice that the belt is locked and it is not possible to make the belt any longer. In the automatic locking mode, the shoulder belt only gets shorter - it does not get longer (it will however go back to "normal" when you let the belt all the way back in).

What is the funchion of a spider gear pin in a differential?

It keeps the spider gears spread apart , to mesh to the Differential output shaft gears ( 2) , one on each side of of the spider gear set , inside the Differential Housing .

What I was trying to find was a Modification to a Traxxas Rustler / Nitro Sport Diff ,

that you took a longer pin and cut it just a small bit longer , which in turn , is suppose

to force the spider gear teeth ( further ) into the Diff output shaft , gear teeth , for better tooth contact area , hence .... less gear tooth breakage .....maybe last longer also.

How do you change the lock on a 1990 Toyota Corrolla driver's door where the key will not operate this lock but works fine on the passenger door ignition and trunk?

On my 1992 Toyota Corolla, the key stopped opening the trunk lid but worked on the doors. I went to a locksmith to get the trunk opened. He made a new key that then worked on all the locks. He said that a worn key may fail to open only one of the locks on a car.

How to Reset check engine light corolla?

With the ignition turned off, remove the 15 amp "stop" fuse located in the fuse box in the car to the left of where the drivers foot is when sitting in the drivers seat. Remove the fuse for a minute and then reinstall the fuse.

You can also remove the negative battery cable for a minute or two, but you will then have to reset the time and radio stations on your radio.

Answer

There are three ways to shut off the 'check engine light' discount battery (not recommended), use a scan tool and delete code, or wait 40 to 80 key cycles depending what the code was set for. Now, if you dicount the battery for around 5 minutes the check engine light will come off, BUT all memory will be lost. Therefore the vehicle would have to "re learn" new criteria/values. Oh yeah! It will come back on as soon as the symptoms are seen again + you won't pass emssions. A scan tool is a decent way (only if vehicle was fixed), BUT when you delete a code you erase freeze frame data and of course the code itself making it harder for the next tech to fix the problem. Finally, the best way is key cycles AKA warm up cycles. If the car is properly repaired after 40 (type B misfire) or 80 (type A misfire) if the PCM doesn't see the problem occur it will automatically erase the code. Hope that helps out and sorry for being a smart A$$..

What does a car having auto headlights mean?

It means that you can leave your lights on the "off" position and once it gets dark enough outside, they will turn on automatically. This is a great feature, because most people don't know exactly when to turn their lights on. Some vehicles require that you turn the switch to the auto mode for this feature to work. Otherwise, they work the same way.
