Can a timing belt put on a 2005 Toyota higlander cause the check engine trac off and vsc light to come on?

The check engine light (service engine soon) comes on and stays on when a problem is detected by the self diagnosis system of your vehicle. Generally, the problem is in the emissions or something that is affecting the effectiveness of the emissions, but other causes can trigger the light to come on, too. To determine the cause, the vehicle will need to be taken to AutoZone or a shop that has an OBD2 scanner, or for 1995 and earlier models, an OBD1 scanner, While a scanner will not give you the magic answer, it will give you a code that narrows down the problem area.

How do you install a trailer hitch on a 1996 Cherokee?

Use a class III b3 hitch. It only uses 2 bolts to attach to the frame and then 4 bolts to attach the center "A" portion to the "B" portion. The edges of the gas tank may need to be curled up/down 1/4" to give the bracket enough room to line up the holes with the Cherokee frame.

How do you change the spark plugs on a 1999 Chevrolet Malibu six cylinder?

The 99' Chevy Malibu is a sideways motor so the first front three will be easy. Just pull the wires and use a spark plug wrench to pull them. The back three are hardest. unbolt the distributor off of the engine to reach the back three. That is the thing where all of you spark plug wires are going into. You will have to be an octopus to get them so good luck.

How do you change spark-plugs near firewall on 2003 impala?

This is how i did it last year on my 97 Cutlass Supreme:

First you need a cursing jar, a six pack & a short piece of rubber hose that fits over the plugs. Start by properly gapping your new plugs. Remove the front top engine mounts(aka dog bones), put a bolt on one of the engine mount & attach a strap(ratchet) to it and anything in front of the car that won't move(I used the vise on my workbench). Put the parking brakes on, the car in neutral, then move the engine forward as far as it will go without damaging anything. I then remove the coolant overflow "resivore" & moved the alternator out of the way.

Bingo, 5 minutes per plugs(used the rubber hose to start the plugs by hand, it prevents crossthreading). 2 hrs later(including the front plugs) I put away the cursing jar & started the car...

Can a 4 cylinder engine be replace with a 6-cylinder on a highlander?

If you are replacing it with a stock Toyota engine it should not be an impossible task, since the six is the larger engine option anyway. However, it will involve SOME

modifications such as new engine mounts, exhaust hookup - etc. The remainder of the engine compartment "accessories" should be standard all across the Toyota line and be no real trouble for a mechanic to install on the new engine.

-- for the 2004 Highlander

Same as above except turning to ON did not work for me but turning to ACC did.

For me..... and I have a 2005 Highlander, I had to hold the odometer button down for several seconds, In my case I had to hold it down for 6 seconds.

For my 2007 Highlander you turn the ignition to ACC press the odometer button, turn it to off, then turn it back to ACC (not "ON") while still keeping the button depressed. The dealership had it wrong, as well.

Is the 2009 Toyota Highlander good in snow?

I installed Toyo Open Country all season radials and live at 7000 feet in the Utah mountains. I also commute each day to 4400 feet. My 2008 Highlander did extremely well with the after market tires versus the original factory tires. You can buy them at Les Schwab Tires out West.
