The fuse that controls the clock also controls the cigarette lighter. It's fuse 15 and is labeled "CIG" on the diagram. The fuse box is located on the left under the steering wheel, behind the little thingy, for lack of a better term, that pops in and out, the diagram is on the back of the box, you'll see it once you pop the little thing out of place.

You need to get a manual for your car because you have no idea how much of writing it takes. I like books from Haynes.

Step 1 Turn the key to the 'on' position.

Step 2 Reset both trip meters to zero. you can reset the trip meters to zero by selecting trip A or trip B and holding in the trip meter button for five (5) seconds.

Step 3 After both trip meters are reset, select any trip meter and hold in the trip meter button and start the car.

Step 4 Continue holding the trip meter button until the "maintenance required' light disappears.

Hmmm, it feels like this question has been asked and answered....like yesterday? The starter is always at the flywheel/flexplate where the engine and transmission meet. Just follow the positive (red) battery cable and you'll find it. Cheers

This same thing happened to me. It is a security feature. I bet your steering wheel is locked in place, right? My local Toyota dealership tried to trick me into getting a whole new security system put in for about $500. Right before the tow truck arrived I found the answer in my car's manual. ****Grab your steering wheel and start jiggling it back and forth. At the same time, jiggle your key in the ignition and then turn it! This is a security feature to lock the ignition anytime your steering wheel locked. Good luck!

Two of them actually. One (probably labeled heater or HTR) in the inside fuse box, the other under the hood in the junction box. It's 10a and labeled AC. The above information should be in your owners manual. Cheers

There's a fault in the airbag system. The problem could be anywhere between the gold contacts in the bumper to the bag itself. CAREFULLY drive the car to a nearby auto supply store that will lend you a code reader. Plug it in under the dash (to the right of the steering wheel) and pull the code. With some luck the reader will tell you precisely where the issue is. An alternative, take the car to a Toyota dealer for the code read and repair.

Driving the car without an operating (or worse a defective) air bag system could be very dangerous. The least of the issues would be the possibility you'd be involved in an accident and the system wouldn't operate. The worst would be an airbag that deploys while you're toodling down the road. Bottom line, get it fixed ASAP.

You need to take out front dash from top to bottom via cdplayer, clock, over the a/c climate control. Once it's removed unplug the clock and it can be moved out farther to where you see the ashtray. Unplug the ashtray connector and the bulb should come right out, replace it and plug it back in, your done.

This is one of the most popular questions on this site. As such it has been answered a good many times. The answer is also in the owners manual. It depends which engine you have. The 4-cylinder Solara engine uses a cam chain. There is no maintenance schedule. The 6-cylinder engine uses a timing belt. There is a maintenance schedule that calls for belt replacement at ten-years or 90-thousand miles whichever comes first. While it isn't in the manual, it is strongly suggested the water pump be changed at the same time while parts are already removed from the engine. Since the spark plugs are scheduled for replacement at 100-thousand miles the owner might as well do those too and avoid having to pull the intake runner off in just a few thousand miles. Cheers

There are several possibilities but the most likely would be a blown fuse for the air conditioning compressor clutch or loss of coolant. The former is simple to check, the latter requires a trip to an air conditioning shop or your Toyota dealer to have the system checked. Other possibilities could include blocked cooling fins on the heat exchanger, a faulty thermostat or, if you have automatic climate control perhaps something more complicated has gone wrong. The final possibility is that someone turned off the air conditioning switch during the winter (auto climate control). Make sure odometer (ODO) is slelected (not trip odometer). Hold in odometer "reset" botton. Turn Igniotion to ON but do not start engine. Light will flash and go off. Turn Ignition OFF. Release "reset" button.

Curiously, the instructions for this normal maintenance item isn't included in your owner's manual. The good news is, it's really simple.

1. Open the hood and look for the intake box on the driver's side of the engine compartment.

2. Loosen the two 10 mm bolts on the outside edge of the box. Also loosen the clamp holding the top of the box to a black tube running to the mass airflow sensor. Unplug the connector to the sensor (just to get it out of the way)

3. With everything loosened, lift the top edge of the air box on the bolt side. It's hinged and will simply swing up and out of the way leaving you staring at the filter.

4. Remove the filter. If it's filthy, replace it with the appropriate part available at any auto supply store.

5. Clean out the inside of the air box if you see dust, cobwebs, rodent nests or anything else in there that might foul your new filter.

6. Replace the filter then button everything up in the reverse of opening. The hinges on the lid opposite the two bolts can be a little grumpy but be patient and don't force anything. The lid should fit easily and the bolts will line up without any hammering, levering or other force needed.

You're done. The next filter check is in 5000 miles. Your owner's manual mandates a replacement every 30,000 miles but for some drivers it's sooner than that.

Don't forget to check your cabin air filter. If the engine filter needed replacement, chances are pretty good the cabin filter needs the same and 'that' procedure 'is' in your owner's manual.

My back glass broke after 5 years- it was recommended that I replace the top because it was starting to wear. They wanted to charge another $1000, so said no. The price was too high, but I should have done it- the top is literally disintegrating with many wear spots and along all the seams.

The short answer is -- you don't.

The fuel filter is an integral part of the fuel pump located inside the gas tank. The filter is designed to last the life of the car.

If you really believe you've gotten a tank full of contaminated fuel (very rare these days with multiple filters between the in ground tank and the nozzle) you'll have to remove the entire pump assembly from the tank to get to the filter.

Toyota has been producing minivans in various shapes and sizes for decades. Each model has had its own fuel capacity. If you're asking about the current "Sienna" model, the fuel tank holds 79 liters, 20.9 US gallons.

The factory service manual (you can download it from Toyota for about $10) says 19.39 ounces +- 1.76 ounce. While inexpensive home mechanic recharge kits are ok (available from most auto supply stores) without proper gauges there's really no way to tell whether you have the proper amount of R134a in the system. If your AC isn't working properly it's really best to take the car to someone with the proper tools to check refrigerant level and operation of the whole system.

Can we post pictures here? Maybe someone knows how but until someone does just follow your positive (red) battery cable. It will run to the area of the flywheel (rear of the engine right where the engine/transmission meet). That's where you'll find the starter. Cheers

air bag control moduke location for 2014 toyota camry

That error code means: P0446 Evaporative Emission Control System Vent Control Circuit Malfunction.

That 'probably' (and I stress probably) means there's a problem with the EVAP vacuum switching valve. That's located on the side of the long black intake tube connecting the air filter and throttle body. All that valve does is sense pressures in the engine intake and fuel tank systems then opens and closes when necessary to vent fuel vapors into the charcoal canister.

If your car is fairly low mileage check with the dealer. Emissions equipment is warrantied much longer than most other components on the car so the fix could be covered by Toyota. If not, you can at least get a better idea what to look for while talking with a certified tech.

Checking the Tire Rack website I only see wheels up to 18" for the '01. Remember the wheels aren't the only criteria. Doing a +1 or +2 on the wheel (depending on what you're currently running) will probably require a much lower profile tire.

When wheel shopping also check the back spacing and offset to be sure they're correct for the car. Too much or too little of either can be hard on bearings and cause handling issues.

Disengage the two latches on the windshield header (hidden by the sunvisors). With the engine running (doesn't have to be but it helps the battery) press the "down" button on the dash to the left of the steering wheel column. When the top is all the way down release the button. Enjoy the ride. BTW if the mechanism stops operating with the top partway up or down there is an emergency procedure. It's detailed in your owners manual. Cheers
