What is normal urination in one day?

Fitzgerald MP, Stablein U, Brubaker L.(2002) in "Urinary habits among asymptomatic women." reported that ordinary women voided a median of 8 times in one day(95% of subjects voided fewer than 13 times) although it varied widely with the differences on race, age, and fluid intake. Concerning volume, the study showed a median of 5 voids per 1 liter urine output, and a median of 4 voids per 1 liter fluid intake (300 subjects). Latini JM, Mueller E, Lux MM, Fitzgerald MP, Kreder KJ. (2004) in "Voiding frequency in a sample of asymptomatic American men." reported that ordinary men voided a median of 7 times in one day (95% of subjects voided fewer than 12 times) although it varied widely (range 2 to 21 times a day). Subjects voided a median of 1.65 liter in 24 hours (range 0.29 to 6.840). They intaked a median of 2.747 liter per day(284 subjects). These studies illustrate that the normal urination of asymptomatic people varies widely with fluid intake, age, gender, and race. Nevertheless, the fact that 95% of femal and male subjects respectively voided fewer than 13 times and 12 times is applicable to this answering. The answer is, Majority of men urinate less than 12 times a day, averaging 7 times daily. And, majority of women urinate less than 13 times a day, averaging 8 times daily. Why do women talk so much?

Why Women Talk So Much

I believe it's because women are constantly thinking ahead, planning, and in some way needing approval or understanding of who's listening. Depending on their situation, they might be at home w/the kids all day and are dying for adult conversation. I have know women and men who just talk sooooooooooooo much.

  • While I love the above answer, I believe one could gain a great deal of understanding about this topic by reading the book 'Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus' by Dr. John Gray. In it, Dr. Gray addresses the fact that part of a woman's make-up is a geniune need for meaningful communication. This is not to say that men do not have this same need, but apparently, women have a greater need in this area. I believe women talk so much because they are seeking fullfillment of the need for meaningful communication.
  • Men think their thoughts and women just say whatever happens to be on their mind at any given second

I think women talk so much because its in their genetic makeup especially in this society today. However as being an electrician I have met women who work equally as hard as men yet do not talk much, they understand the job take pride in it and feel no need to validate with words. Women are social creatures so are gay men, it may be a lack of testosterone Im not sure. I have seen women who talk a great game but would not have a clue on how to say "build something". Men are conditioned to work hard and talking is not a part of the process of getting a job done. When I was a marine and someone would be talking a seargent would say "too much jaw jacking" Its just the way it is, women talk because it helps them express themselves, men work hard because seeing fruits of their labor is more satisfying.

Where does urine form?

Formation of urine Human kidneys consist of three layers. These layers are, in order, the cortex on the outside of the organ, the medulla, and the pelvis. Blood flows into the medulla through the renal artery. In the medulla and cortex, the renal artery branches into increasingly smaller arteries. Each of these arteries ends in a blood filtration unit called a nephron. Two healthy kidneys contain a total of about 2 million nephrons, which filter about 190 litres of blood daily.

A nephron consists of a network of tiny blood vessels, the glomerulus, surrounded by Bowman's capsule, a two-layer membrane that opens into a convoluted tubule. Pressure forces much of the blood plasma (fluid portion of the blood) through the glomerulus and into Bowman's capsule. The resulting tubular fluid, which contains water and dissolved chemicals, then passes into the convoluted tubule. The portion of the blood that remains in the glomerulus flows into small vessels called capillaries, which surround the convoluted tubule. As the tubular fluid flows through the tubule, substances needed by the body are absorbed by the cells of the tubule wall. These substances, which include amino acids, glucose, and about 99 per cent of the water, then rejoin the blood in the capillaries. The capillaries return the blood to the heart by way of the renal vein.

Substances not absorbed in the tubule are wastes that the body cannot use. Other wastes are secreted into the tubular fluid by the tubular cells of the kidney. These various substances, which include ammonia, urea, uric acid, and excess water, make up urine. The urine passes from the convoluted tubules into larger collecting tubules and then into the pelvis layer of the kidney. A tube called the ureter carries urine from each kidney into the urinary bladder. Urine collects in the bladder until it passes out of the body through another tube, the urethra. Healthy kidneys produce from 1 to 2 litres of urine daily.

How can a kidney be removed without cutting through parietal peritoneum?

Kidneys are said to be located in a retro-(behind) peritoneal position so removing them doesn't affect the parietal peritoneum.
The retroperitoneal space is the part of the abdominal cavity that lies behind the peritoneum. Inside the retroperitoneal space, there are the kidneys, adrenal glands, bladder, and ureters. The aorta and inferior vena cava vessels are located within the space as well as part of the esophagus and rectum. These are called the primary retroperitoneal organs, meaning they typically form during gestation behind the peritoneum and remain there throughout development. All of the organs in the space typically feature some peritoneum tissue attached to their front, or anterior side, although no anatomical structures are generally a part of this space.
