Silica sand can enter a water well through the process of well drilling and construction. During drilling, the sand formations surrounding the wellbore can collapse and mix with the water. Additionally, the use of gravel pack or filter pack materials during well construction can contain silica sand particles that may enter the well.

Add neutral ferric chloride to the sample solution. A coloured solution is obtained if it is 2-naphthol (most phenols give colour with neutral ferric chloride solution).

Add sodium bicarbonate to the sample solution. Carboxylic acids evolve carbon dioxide gas. Phenols (except strong ones like picric acid) does not.

Both 2-naphthol and benzoic acid will evolve hydrogen when treated with metallic sodium (test not advisable to do) and NaOH.

Phenols form pleasent smelling esters when treated with carboxylic acids where as benzoic acid will be fruity odour with alcohols or phenols.

Both benzoic acid and 2-naphthol melts about 1220C whereas the boiling point of benzoic acid is 2490C and that of 2-naphthol is 2850C.

First there are factory wastes which contain harmful or radioactive substances that get mixed up with water and spread diseases to fishes and use up oxygen in water which then suffocates the marine life. If these poisoned fishes get eaten by humans they might die. Then there are fertilizers and pesticides which are sprayed over plants and washed away by rains or floods to water bodies. They then use up oxygen as well as poison aquatic life. Household sewage contains harmful bacteria and that poisons and suffocates marine life. Sometimes this cases algae to grow over water in large quantity which uses up dissolved oxygen. Some fishes get tangled up in packaging's and some swallow Styrofoam which makes them feel full and stop them from feeding properly. Fish farms also pollute water because the fish that are kept in chemicalized pens have the water washed into water bodies and they pollute water. Oil spills often occur and they coat the water with oil preventing oxygen inside and blocking sunlight. Animal farms are also responsible for throwing the animal waste into sewers directly.

Acid rain, oil spillages, rubbish deposition, water-bourne diseases and radiation.

Bacteria, dust, trash, garbage are all things that contaminate water.

There are a couple of ways to define "sound" in relation to a body of water: 1. A relatively narrow passage of water between the mainland and an island, sometimes also known as a "strait". 2. Based on this rate, here is an estimate of the incidence of death among people now living in the world with the equivalent pollution related rates is 56.0 million deaths per year (from all causes) with 14 million/yr from some pollution related causes.

There are more animals from people and so there is a larger number of animal deaths.

There are no pros of pollution. We are destroying our Earth, does that seem like a pro to you? The cons? We might not live very long and if we do our children may never see the country, forests, plains, rainforests, animals! How would you like that life?

pollution can be in many forms such as air pollution. There are different ways to get clean water,

-The old fashioned way is to boil it (this does not distill it, but does steralize it)

-You could always get a distiller that is easy to install on a tap

-Try Brita water filters, they work pretty well as well.

There is a wide category of substances that can contaminate water.these may be from human sources like urine and feaces.It can be chemicals such as pesticides weedicide insecticides.Others may include organic chemicals like acids ,esters,or wastes from factories.Some may be non biodegradeable substances or heavy metals.

Pollution affects hammerhead sharks in a negative way. Oil spills and fishing nets have greatly affected the sharks, putting them near an endangered species list.

Mexican water has bacteria that people from other countries do not have immunity against. As a result, the bacteria makes those people sick. Visitors need to build up a tolerance to Mexican bacteria. Probably they should be vaccinated for it before they visit Mexico.

Greenfield is a term used for endeavors that does not have any constraints imposed by prior work. The term is derived from construction industry where a new structure is built on a farm land - "green field" - without having the need to demolish/move any existing structures. It is same way in IT too that refers to a fresh implementation and is not bound by existing system constraints.

5 ways that people waste water are by flushing the toilet too often (it doesn't mean don't flush it just means if your sibling needs to go let them go then you go and then you can flush!) also when you floss or Q-tip your ear please don't throw it in the toilet and flush it, that is a really big waste. another way is by leaving the water on while brushing your teeth also you waste water by washing the dishes in dishwashers. and if you wash your car on a driveway that wastes water too it is better to wash it on your lawn. another way is by just by using hot water it uses up alot of water and energy (it also gives you cold water if you use up all the hot water which sucks!)
