Do you need a building permit for a Pro wrestling ring for my son in Pine Bush New York?
Building a wrestling ring anywhere in New York is subject to local zoning rules-- city hall ion Pine Bush (or any other part of New York, for that matter) can tell you whether the land on which you want to build is zoned for athletic facilities, and if it is not, you cannot build there. But beyond building the ring, you cannot hold matches without permits and appropriate licenses. The New York State Athletic Commission has very strict safety and health rules, and I would advise you to become familiar with them before building the ring or trying to hold matches. Their website, which also contains further information about the rules for putting on matches is: http://www.dos.ny.gov/athletic/about.html

In modern construction, buildings designed with steel plates and rubber components utilize a system known as base isolation to absorb seismic energy during earthquakes. The steel framework provides strength and stability, while the rubber parts act as flexible cushions, allowing the building to move independently of ground motion. This innovative approach reduces structural damage and enhances safety, enabling buildings to withstand seismic forces more effectively. Such designs are increasingly popular in earthquake-prone areas to protect both occupants and the integrity of the structure.

A home is considered a heritage home anywhere from 80 - 100+ years old. There are also wonderful Heritage Home Groups you can belong too and it would be well worth your while to join as you could find out even more about your home. For example: who were the previous owners, what did they do for a living, etc. You'll get hooked on it! Maybe there is even a ghost or two. Boo! LOL
I live in British Columbia lower mainland and we are fighting to keep our heritage homes in tact. It's sad that the government doesn't mind tearing down these beautiful old homes for new development. I live in a rancher built in 1954, but not classed as a heritage home. I did find out that a Sea Captain had owned it, then a gardener by trade (that is why we have the beautiful gardens we have and we have lovingly kept it up) and then a Scottish couple bought the property and we bought it from them. I found out most of this info from our local City Hall and old neighbors that have lived here for 60 - 70 years.
Good luck and enjoy!

However, if you choose to smoke in your apartment be prepared to be pay extra to repaint, extra in cleaning the carpet and probably a fee for an ozone machine and/or hvac vent cleaning. Nearly all have patios or balconies- just smoke out there.
