The name comes from TES (T.E. Stockwell) who were Jack's Tea supplier and CO (Cohen)

I really don't think that it was necessary for lehman's to declare bankruptcy but feel that after the US government bailing out others they should have also considered helping Lehmans. I think that they have created an even bigger problem, and think of the lost money by shareholders. The government has created another down draft that will not be felt for a few months but think about it...the shareholders themselves maybe middle upper class citizens are now out every dollar invested in that bank and are now sitting with nothing as the SEC pushed Lehmans into the Pinksheets today Sept 18 2008. Many of those people have lost much of their life savings. What about the employees that were given stock options and thought of their shares in Lehmans as retirement. It just does not cut the cake...I think that this all moved way to fast and I truly think that the US government should have jumped and given some sort of a lifeline to Lehmans. I think there is bigger trouble coming yet.

I heard this one as "A man is known by the company he keeps and how well he keeps it." Basically, people know what kind of person you are by the friends that you have and how good of friends you are with those people. Assuming that people who are alike will hang out together.

In my humble opinion this means that a man becomes what his or her friends are, if we keep good company we become good if we have bad friends then we will surely adopt their bad habits. If you want to know about a man just find out who are his friends. An example of this is that if you go and stay in a perfume shop your clothes with aquire good smell but instead if you go to and iron smith's shop your clothes will smell like iron, even better a man who works in fish market smells like fish. So stay with good and pious people you will automatically become pious.

Companies merge for many reason , companies merge when they are woth more together than apart.. some do to cut costs i.e in vertical integration when a corp. merges with either its supplier or consumer .. others merge for growth and market power and to eliminate competition.. these mainly merge with their competitors to create more power in the markets i.e AT&T and Bell South both are Telecom companies. its not the best idea, but actually some companies merge to diversify, like acquiring another company in a seemingly unrelated industry in order to reduce the impact of a particular industry's performance on its profitability.
