How does a placement agency or a recruitment company work?
In my experience, I've never found a recruitment or placement agency that was worth the money they demanded. Some agencies offer little more than lists of companies and contact info, much of which can be outdated. Other agencies purport to offer services such as resume writing, private leads, meetings with inside contacts and support in job and salary negotiation. My experience with such an agency was dismal. The "inside contacts" turned out to be other clients like myself who were also looking for work. And while these agencies can help you put together a good resume, it's nothing you couldn't learn and do on your own.
There may be some good agencies out there, but be very wary. If they worked like they say they do, all anyone would have to do is shell out a few bucks to find a dream job.
First you look at any job leads that the recruitment or placement agency placed on all the career boards to see if you are the right fit. Then you will go to their website to register. Once the recruitement or placement agency received your resume through their website, someone who works there will give you a call to for an "interview". They will not ask you the regular interview questions like tell me something about yourself. The recruiter will ask you what type of assignments will you like to fill. You can't say I will take anything. That is going a lit overboard. For example let's say you visit one who specialize in admin and you can't tell them you will like to be an admin if you never had the experience to begin with. These people won't place you. They will place you according to your skill level. After telling the recruiter what type of assignments you will like to fill, then you will take a couple of tests to see if your score is up to their standards. If it is, then they will find "work" for you. Mostly it is temp work and it is very rare that they will send you on a temp-to-hire because you will never be hired on a full time basis for that company. They charge outrageous fees.These people are very good in finding work only if they really place people. There are some agencies who never place people at all So ask people you know which agency (ies) they recommend.

Hard Question to answer but I have a slight idea in why. All the expensive clubs have different types of heads than the cheaper ones. Hard to explain... all the Nike and the Pings has their own thing in them that makes it special for their type of brand. For example... Ping is good for their irons since it's flanges are cut well and the cheap ones arn't if you have noticed. Their face (where the ball hits the club) is well designed. Tailormade drivers have like the weights in them and that's why Tailor made are the best drivers. Their irons are ok but if you have noticed, Tailormade woods are a lot more expensive than the irons. (So they have a little special thing in expensive brand NORMALLY.)The cheap clubs don't have anything special in them. It's just a normal head and a normal grip and shaft. But probably one of the most reasons why the expensive clubs are expensive and the cheap clubs are cheap is because of their brands. Nike is known all over the world... they even Nike Basketballs? The other clubs aren't so popular since not many people know the brand. It has a lot to do with the brands but I cant help you there on why. **UPDATE 8/8/2010* This is a scammer originating from California based on his last known ip address, my wife fell for this scam a week ago and i immediately traced his ip back to his host and reported his illegal activities, as well as reported it to the FBI/White collar crimes division via their website. I got his site foreign exchange scam site shut down and his info sent to the police. If YOU have any information regarding this guy (additional sites, emails, etc) please post them/ trace them your self to his host IP and give them a call and let them know this guy is already reported for fraud and money laundering with the FBI and is collecting several people's identity! Also report this on the FBI/White collar crimes division via phone or website.
I also faced the same problem which you guys are mentioned and now Bank told me we are going to close your account.
So please never go for the MYISEC company.

NO! THEY ARE NOT A LEGITIMATE COMPANY! I decided to give it a try with regard to my own safety. I waited 2 weeks, and last Wednesday they made a deposit into my account in the sum of $7500. They asked me to take it out and send half to one student, and half to another student. I thought it suspicious so I contacted my bank. An investigation was opened, and I was even told it was a guaranteed fund. However, it was not. I even had to write a 20 page report on my home town because they were new to the area. Their office is in an old warehouse that is supposed to be a lumber or construction company, none of their addresses or phone/ fax numbers are legitimate, and they have fake W-4's to send you, along w/ a contract for employment!
I waited before I took the money out of my bank, anyway, and it is a good thing. Today, I got a letter saying that it was a scam, and the transaction was reversed. I have had to already change my account info. The point is, they are a fraud, they are scamming you, and if they contact you, do not fall for it, or you may end up paying back all the money they claim to have sent you!!!!! I almost did!
Myisec International Student Exchange Center is a company but it has a rating with the Better Business Bureau of "F". It is a company that you better stay away from because they ask for your routing and bank numbers and send checks for materials needed and the checks bounce and you end up paying out of your own pocket even though they tell you it cost you nothing. The telephone numbers they have listed for the company are not listed in the Ohio telephone directory. I checked on them. It is a SCAM! SO BEWARE. I guess, it just proves the saying, " If it sounds too good to be true, IT IS".
Take this from someone who was ALMOST SCAMMED by them.
The Attorney General's Office in Providence, RI says one of the telephone #s I have is a person's telephone number and it looks like he is doing the business from his home, but to be leery of it because the BBB rating is an "F" which means its a poor risk and you could possibly loose a lot.
TRUE!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS "COMPANY". I got their hire information too. Same story: they sent me W-4 form and contract. They also sent me 5000 USD and made me send to 2 different students. My bank told me this is a crime!
