The Bible records many legendary heroes who were reputedly older than 100 when they died. They fall into two separate groups, although there is some apparent overlap between the groups. The first group occurs in the Book of Genesis, with biblical heros whose lifespans are based on elegant formulas using the number 17. This group includes all those who supposedly lived to extreme ages, but also some who lived only moderately long lives. The second group of people, from traditions based on the period after the legendary patriarchs. have lifespans that are round numbers, easy for oral storytellers to remember. This group includes Moses.
The oldest man in the Bible was Methuselah, who supposedly lived to the grand old age of 969, which is 57 X 17, and even had his first child at the age of 187, which is 11 X 17.
Most of the others with extreme lifespans follow a particular formula that hides the number 17 from those unfamiliar with Hebrew numerology, for example the first five biblical generation from Adam set a pattern for succeeding generations:

Genesis says Sarah lived to 127 years, which is the sum of these consecutive square numbers plus 17 (127 = 52 + 62 + 72 + 17). Joseph, sometimes called the fourth patriarch, lived to 110 years, which is the sum of these consecutive square numbers (110 = 52 + 62 + 72).
The later tradition lacks these elegant formulas and simply attributes round-number periods that are easy to remember, such as 120 years for Moses. Presumably the tradents also chose numbers that would not eclipse the Patriarchs. This preference for round numbers applies not only to lifespans but to the period of wandering in the wilderness, the periods associated with each major Judge and even the reigns of David and Solomon (40 years each). No harm is done by this, as most scholars say that Moses did not really exist, and the stories of the Judges and the United Monarchy are so coloured by legend and myth that little real history can be discerned.

The convention in which the declaration for its formation was made, was actually the annual meeting of the Educational Conference. The convention was attended by almost 3000 notable celebrities from through out South Asia.The decision to hold the convention at Dhaka was made only because to demonstrate the Muslim power to then British Government and hindus of Bengal who strongly opposed the partition of Bengal. The meeting of M.E.C. commenced from 27 Dec. 1906 and continued upto 30 Dec. The last session of the meeting was converted into a large convention. Nawab Sir Saleemullah Khan didn't appoint Nawab Wiqar ul Mulk, but he only hosted the meeting i.e. arranged convention to be held at his residence Ehsan Manzil Dhaka. Nawab Muhsan ul Mulk passed away in Sept. 1907, and Nawab Wiqar ul Mulk held the Secretaryship of Muhammaden Education Conference and Syed Hussain Bilgrami was appointed Muslim league's Secretary.
The constitution of the Muslim League was framed by a board headed by Maulana Muhammaded Ali Jauhar. Muslim league's Head office after its formation was set up in Ali garh where it remained until 1910 when the Head office was shifted to Lukhnow. It functioned upto 1927 at Lukhnow. The same year it again transferred to Delhi where it remained till 1947.

The Ottomans grew economically weak, due to the economic boom of European Industrialization. Their workers lost their jobs due to cheaper products marketted by their European rivals. The Ottoman government, to save their state from this decline wanted educational, cultural and Militarial reforms which would cost so much that their treasury couldn't bare. So they borrowed, from the European Money lenders hence went severely under Debt.
As we can see the pattern repeating itself in a number of occasions during history, Debt can be used as a very powerful tool in political dealing and decision making, proved to be the case. Europeans were going to war amongst each other and wanted as much manpower at their side as possible. So they demanded their pound of flesh from the ottomans by joining the great war, with whichever side they take, promising to help them pay their Debt, if successful.
As the Allied forces sought the help of Russia, an arch enemy of the Ottomans, the Ottomans decided to side Germany.
This may come to a surprise to some, as how can the ottomans go against their European Money lenders, it is suggested that one reads the financing of the Banking elite of both sides of the conflicts of the Nepoleonic wars and their manipulation of the London Stock Exchange, buying up almost all of the shares of the English industries.

How can you describe the methods and conquests of the Muslim army at the Battle of Tours?
Like many a conquering army in ancient and medieval times, the Muslim forces were motivated by their sense of holy mission, but also by the prospect of loot. Wealthy warriors, who could afford horses, became the cavalry and the poorer ones the infantry. The fighting forces led the way through the invaded territories and behind them, often miles away, followed their support staff: the cooks and quatermasters, some prostitutes and personal slaves, doctors, and of course, their loot and people to watch over it. These are collectively called the "baggage trains." What happened at Tours was that the Muslims were assaulting and the Christians were defending and it was all pretty evenly matched through most of the day when rumor started that the Christians had attacked the trains. The cavalry, who naturally had the most loot, dashed back to the rear to protect their stuff, leaving the infantry, who couldn't move as fast, thinking they were being deserted. That sort of thing always has a bad effect of moral, and the Christians rapidly gained the upper hand. The Muslims were beaten back (presumably with their loot) and very slowly that invasion of Europe turned into a retreat, known as the Reconquista. Who knows? But for some mounted mujahideen who thought more of their swag than their god, we might all be speaking Arabic today.

The term Islamic Renaissance is probably not the best to use, because it carries an implication of a time in Islam before it analogous to the Dark Ages or Middle Ages. I think it is better termed the Islamic Golden Age, as it is often called.
The Islamic Golden Age was a time of great scientific flowering, which happened almost as soon as Islam began to be spread. It started in about 750 AD, and its ending is reckoned as 1258, when Baghdad was sacked. During this time, Muslim scientists made remarkable scientific progress, and much of their thinking spread to Europe, much to the benefit of the Europeans.
An example of their work can be seen in their scientific investigation of medicine. In the article cited below in Islamic Medicine, the following extraordinary quote appears in a context clearly referring to practices of the Islamic Golden Age: Like in other fields of Islamic science, Muslim physicians and doctors developed the first scientific methods for the field of medicine. This included the introduction of mathematization, quantification, experimentation, experimental medicine, evidence-based medicine, clinical trials, dissection, animal testing, human experimentation and postmortem autopsy by Muslim physicians, whilst hospitals in the Islamic world featured the first drug tests, drug purity regulations, and competency tests for doctors.
The European Renaissance is a time that began in about 1350, give or take a few decades, and lasted to 1600 or 1650. It is a time in which people of Europe congratulated themselves for their recovery to the cultural levels of ancient Rome, after what they clearly viewed as a long and inferior time called the Middle Ages or Dark Ages.
My own view is that in terms of science and superstition, the Renaissance was hardly better than the Middle Ages, and in many ways was worse, as can is clearly exemplified by the introduction of witch hunts, which did not happen until just about the time the Renaissance began, when papal authority for inquisition of sorcerors was granted in 1320. By contrast, laws of the Early Middle Ages made the burning of supposed witches a capital crime and denounced the believe in witchcraft as superstitious. Both the Renaissance and the Islamic Golden Age were times of great flowering of the arts, with great creativity in decoration, architecture, music, and literature.
