Yes, looking at the past history on how racism has declined in America, there is a time hen racism will eventually stop in America.

No, the government should not actively stop any racism between blacks and whites or any other race as one should be free to form their own thoughts and opinions. To stop racism, it should be on the individual at hand and those around them who care enough to educate and teach tolerance, but still let the final decision rest on that said individuals shoulders; that would mean they actually want to change themselves and are sincere as opposed to just being forced and are appeasing.

Whenever someones racism goes as far as to infringe on the rights of others, that's another story and is against the law in the US.

The Americans took over the Philippine's, Cuba, Puerto Rico and Guam, after the Spanish American war, which had no bases, these were Spanish Colonies, the last ones they had over almost 400 years, but the Monroe Doctrine, wanted America for the Americans, the ones who lived in the USA of course so they took these lands and made these countries part of the USA empire, as Panama was part of Colombia but since the Colombian Government did not allow the building of the Panama Canal, they invented a country that we now know as Panama, and of course that way the canal was built, as far as Hawaii is concerned they had trade with the Hawaiian king but when he wanted to raise the price of the Hawaiian goods the Americans took over.

The Ku Klux Klan and similar white supremacy groups were not a continuation of the US Civil War. They were formed by former Confederates who wished to terrorize Black Americans, kill them and any Republican supporters they could find. The South African Nationalist government of 1948 passed the first laws about Apartheid. This affected every level of society. The nationalists (read Nazi if you wish) wanted to protect white jobs, so many jobs were reserved for whites only. Everybody was investigated for blacks in their family. People were officially designated white, black or 'coloured'. A Black in the family as many as 4 generations back would make you 'coloured' and could prevent you from many jobs.

The Japanese Internment Camps were America's version of Concentration Camps for US citizens of Japanese ancestry. However we felt the term Interment was more "polite" than Concentration to describe the camps. There was little difference between them and Nazi Concentration Camps of the time, except that they were not also frequently Extermination Camps where inmates were deliberately executed en masse as in the Nazi camps.
