radio waves are basically energy. This energy is sent in pulses that are basically binary code. Binary code is what computers think by. Is consists of zeros and ones. (10110100 etc.) This code is converted into each pixel of a picture, or each tone in music. It is complicated!

It evolved- in tandem and in paralell with amateur or Ham radio. one can call Hugo Gernsback- who published all manner of radio and related hobby magazines- as in effect the founding father- Hugo also was a prolific science-fiction writer. The idea of bouncing radio signals off planets was suggested in sober language in his radio magazines as early as l927 ( the year Gina Lollobrigida rolled off the Lines, The Yankees were burning up the league- and the San Rafael went missing in action- exactly ten years BEFORE the much- better known Electra Project. Glug Glug.

On my 1995 SAAB I believe the way to set a radio station button was to 1.Manually tune in the station you want and 2.Press and hold the button you want to store the setting in. Hold the button for a few seconds...when the sound on the radio comes back on, the station is saved and you can release the button. Note if you release the button too quickly rather than saving the new setting you will go to the old setting on the button. Hope that helps, Paul.

The fuse box is located under the dash on the drivers side, on the side. On the 2001 Chevy Tracker it is a 10amp fuse and it is marked DOM. To reset the radio or CD player pull the fuse out with a pair of needle nose pliers for 10 sec. and push it back in. This should reset the radio, clock and CD player.

It varies from car to car. For example a 1998 Ford Crown Victoria will have it in a different location from a 1998 Chevrolet Impala, or even the same car of another year. So, we need to know the year, make, and model of the car. Also, if it is an add-on radio, the fuse may be an in-line fuse, that is, in a special holder made into a wire somewhere behind the radio itself. Additionally, there are usually 2 fuses to any radio. One provides radio power when you turn it on, and the other provides power all the time, even when the key is off, so the radio can retain information stored in it's memory such as radio station presets, clock, and even the last setting you had it on when you turned it off, like volume, and station it was set to. If the car has the original factory radio instaled, you should look into your owner's manual to see which fuses are listed for the radio. If you don't have your owner's manual, call the dealer. They can look it up for you.

you have to take off the front cover of dash witch means u will have to take off the cover under the lil over hang part and the screws from the sids of the dash and u will have to pull the climate control out witch is just a few screws near the rear of the c.c. and then there are i think 4 or 5 screws that hold the radio bracket in then one net on the rear of that bracket that holds the radio i give it a 3-10 on a difficulty scale but that is me i did mine in about 2.5 hours but i had to mod some parts cuz i bought the wrong ones

how are radio waves be used- well they are used by sound waves like as in u can hear sond waves but radio waves is where you are in the car and u are listening for instance capital fm that is radio waves

I have to be honest with you. Technically, the answer is yes. Any electromagnetic wave passing within the effective gravitational distance of a large mass, like the sun or a black hole, will bend slightly.

The effect, though, is so slight that it was never even noticed until about 100 years ago. Even then, it was only found because the Theory of Relativity predicted it, so some scientists went looking for it really hard. Otherwise, any discrepancy would have surely been attributed to a margin of error!

In everyday life, the Earth's gravity has no significant effect on radio waves. Our radio systems don't need to take into account its gravitational effect. But when it comes to detecting planets and stars millions of miles away, it certainly does matter.

"Meters" is not frequency. It's wavelength.

If you know the wavelength in meters, divide 300 by it, and the result is

the frequency in MHz.

If you know the frequency in MHz, divide 300 by it, and the result is the

If you have a radio like most people it is using the electricity from your outlet. When you unplug it, you disconnect it from the electricity and it cannot function. Unless your radio uses unicorn tears to run. In which case you are probably better off asking your local wizard.

All Eclipse brand radios have a feature called ESN (Eclipse Security Network) installed. This means a Key CD may be inserted into the head unit so that if the unit is stolen or battey is disconnected from the unit you will have to enter the key CD to unlock the unit.

For example, lets say you purchased this unit from bestbuy. You installed it in your car and you wanted to activate the ESN security feature. You need to choose anyone of your CD's from your collection, lets say you chose The Offsping, Conspiracy of One. Input the disc hit the correct buttons ( I'll explain those later) and your Eclipse 54400's ESN is active.

Now, your 54400 is stolen a week later, the thief will plug in the 54400 into his car and it will show SEC [disc], so he/she will insert a CD and it will say [ERR]. If he or she does this 5 times it will show [call 800] which will lead them to Eclipse customer service, but you will have already called eclipse and told them that your unit was stolen. Whether you get your head unit back is highly doubtful but nobody else will be able to use it.

Now for your answer, to activate ESN:

1.Turn the vehicles ignition on and press the power button 2. Press and hold Radio station preset 1 and the FM-AM button for more than one second 3. Insert the CD of your choice. A [SEC] message will now aooear on the screen and ESN is active. Anytime the unit loses power you will have to reinsert the key CD.

To deactivate the ESN feature:

1. Turn the vehicles ignition on and press the power button or the FM-AM button (make sure the tuner is on). 2. Press and hold the radio station preset button 1 and the FM-AM for more than one second. 3.Once the display flashes [disc] insert the key CD you selected to activate the ESN. The display should now read [CnCl]. The ESN is now deactivated.

To resume normal operation after the power has been disconnected to the unit:

1. Wait for the dispaly to read [disc]. 2. Insert you key CD, if the correct CD is inserted your display will read [---] and the CD will begin to play. If the wrong CD is inserted it will display [Err]. If you insert the wrong CD 5 times it will say [call 800] and then you have to send the unit to eclipse to have it rest. Good Luck!

How to read the Electronic Serial Number:

1. Turn the vehicles power on. Prss the FM-AM button. 2. Press radio preset button 4 and the FM-AM button for more than a second and the display should show your 8 digit serial number. This number is to identify your unit if it is recovered after being stolen. Yep, that will happen!
