You need to connect your modem to a ROUTER, and then connect both desktops to the router, instead of connecting one desktop directly to the modem.

You can connect the 2 desktops to the router either with standard CAT5 network wiring (recommended), or wirelessly if you have a wireless router and suitable wireless hardware attached to the desktops.

The telephone country code for Germany is +49, and you must also drop the trunk prefix 0 from the beginning of the German domestic telephone number.

On a mobile phone (cell phone), you can dial the number in international format, beginning with +49, including the plus symbol.

On a landline phone, or on a cell phone that doesn't allow you to enter the plus symbol, replace the plus symbol with the international dialing prefix for calls from the US, which is 011.

What is the fax code for England?

You dial a fax number on a fax machine exactly the same way that you would dial the same number on a landline telephone at the same location.

The telephone country code for the United Kingdom, including England, is +44. You must also drop the trunk prefix 0 from the UK area code. For example, Liverpool's area code 0151 becomes +44 151. In most cases, there will be a total of 10 digits following +44, but there are a few numbers in rural areas with only 9 digits.

(The plus sign means "insert your international access prefix here." From a GSM mobile phone, you can enter the number in full international format, starting with the plus sign. The most common prefix is 00, but North America (USA, Canada, etc.) uses 011, Japan uses 010, Australia uses 0011, and many other countries use different prefixes.)

What is the best cable to use for DSL?

Cat6 cable is the very best. There is a Cat7 in the works but it is not yet readily available and the connector is different. So if you get Cat6 you have the very best available that will work on most everything. Coax DSL cable is superior but mainly used in industrial applications. A Cat6 shielded cable is also quite effective. In a pinch i have run two Cat6 side by side and punched the blue and orange of the first and the green and brown of the second cable on a single jack. This prevents crosstalk thus data loss. The Cat7 cable is a joke. It does not use an rj45 and is heavily shielded as to almost make it impractical.

How much do ATT employees make?

It actually depends on what part of the country they live in, what division/position they work for, local minimum wage, and cost of living. I live in Oklahoma and work for the wireless call center and started out at roughly 10.00/hr having experience in the field. With no experience a person would start out in the 9.00 range (pre-union contract negotiations this year).

Who sings i think I'm falling for you on the att commercial?

Landon Pigg is the artist. The title of the song originally is called "Coffee Shop" off his debut album, but iTunes made a mistake when they first published the song and entitled it "Falling In Love At A Coffee Shop" -- therefore Landon later changed the name on his album so there would be no confusion. It's kind of funny if you think about it. :-)

Where did Morse code start?

The land telegraph was invented by Samuel F. B. Morse, in the 1830s I think. He built this thing that when a button was pushed at one place, it could cause a clacker to go clack at the other end of a wire many miles long. In order to send information over it, he invented a code of clacks for each letter of the alphabet ... which he modestly called Morse's Code.

Who invented ATT?

The company that became AT&T began in 1875, in an arrangement among inventor Alexander Graham Bell and the two men, Gardiner Hubbard and Thomas Sanders, who agreed to finance his work. Bell was trying to invent a talking telegraph -- a telephone. He succeeded, earning patents in 1876 and 1877. In 1877, the three men formed the Bell Telephone Company to exploit the invention. The first telephone exchange, operating under license from Bell Telephone, opened in New Haven, CT in 1878. Within three years, telephone exchanges existed in most major cities and towns in the United States, operating under licenses from what was now the American Bell Telephone Company. In 1882, American Bell acquired a controlling interest in the Western Electric Company, which became its manufacturing unit. Gradually, American Bell came to own most of its licensees. Collectively the enterprise became known as the Bell System.
