The religion of the future will be a cosmic religion. It should transcend personal God and avoid dogma and theology. Covering both the natural and the spiritual, it should be based on a religious sense arising from the experience of all things natural and spiritual as a meaningful unity. Buddhism answers this description. If there is any religion that could cope with modern scientific needs it would be Buddhism. If people are good only because they fear punishment, and hope for reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed.

The further the spiritual evolution of mankind advances, the more certain it seems to me that the path to genuine religiosity does not lie through the fear of life, and the fear of death, and blind faith, but through striving after rational knowledge.

However, the brain can be trained to think better, and thus it is possible for an IQ score to go up, but most of the time IQ is determined by genetics and geographical area. That's normal. IQ isn't supposed to change much. It is measure of your ability to learn, not how mch you know. It is more along the lines of how much you could learn, not how much you have learned.

Einstein may or may not have used this direct quotation but he did come to this conclusion after a life of adamant agnosicism when he considered the implications of what Hubble discovered. He concluded the beginning of the Universe, it's lawfulness, the orderly interdependency of a microcosmic level and came to the conclusion Darwinians were amiss in the sense that the Universe had not come about by random chance and coincidence, he said, "God does not play dice with the Universe" and that "coincidence is just God remianing anonymous." Now I do not know if Einstein will be "saved" as some people understand it, but I do know that he came to the conculsion that their must be God from just looking objectively at the facts with no preconcieved bias. He knew forsty and foremost that chance is not a creative force but always anyone of a number of possible outcomes, and that time is a function of and thus less than the sum total of Creation and therefore also is not causitive in the nature of things since time itself is a part of nature. Each, if they can step out of their indoctrinations, one way or the other, must ask, what proof is actually there? And what does the evidence actually imply if I eliminate other people's provisional interpretations of the data...? Hmmm!

There is no special name for scientists who study religion. They are still scientists by profession and education. There are scientists who follow or even study religion. Some scientists such as astronomers, physicist and anthropologists manage to reconcile creationism with the big bang.
