I then let it cool and I can then leave it in the refrigerator for several more days.

it depends...are you baking or deep frying...we have deep fried turkey for thanksgiving and it is typically cooked at 3 minutes per pound at a constant 400 degrees in the deep fryer...not sure about cooking in the oven though...hope that helped
