Standing at the front of the car, the black square oil filler cap is located on the top side of the engine, at the lower left corner of the engine cover.

Your window motor is bad and needs to be replaced. In any event you have to replace the whole window regulator. Atfter looking at your question again. Check your fuses to see if any of them are blown.

in the front. on the passenger side next to fog light is a section of the front fascia that can be removed tow hook is right behind it. in the rear. under the bumper a rectangular section is removable tow hook is right behind it.

Look under the Mainfold and it should be a screw on sensor.....it also might be in a black box protected under the manifold its usually in plain sight but consealed by the box.

Edit from someone else: I have a BMW 1995 318is with the same engine (if you're in the US). The engine is M42 and was used on '92-'95 318 BMWs. The IAT sensor is integrated into the volume air flow sensor, it is not a separate sensor as on some other cars.

The lug pattern on all modern BMW's is 5x4.75 or 120mm

To open the locked bonnet, or hood on a 1999 BMW 525 TDS, pull on the release handle inside the vehicle on the driver's side. The hood might be indicated as open if the cable is broken or stretched.

I added atf fluid right down the dip stick tube. be sure to add very small amounts at a time and keep checking the fluid level as you go.

Most manufacturers want you to check trans fluid when it is hot and in park, but check your owner's manual to double check. If it's low when hot, add more. It's not uncommon for it to show above the full mark when cold. Some transmissions have a temperature regulated valve that opens when cold and dumps any fluid in that's stored in the side cover down into the bottom of the transmission. Then it closes when the trans heats up.

The oil pan is located at the bottomof the engine. It is held on by alot of bolts that all the way around it. It seams to go up on the engine and is a lot deaper than other oil pans I have seen. -A little more info: Hello. I just replaced the oil pan gasket on a 1991 735i. The oil pan is a front sump cast aluminum piece (as opposed to stamped steal as with most American cars.) This is probably where your confusion came in. The pan is held on by 32 bolts the majority of which are 10mm. they extend the full peremiter and are commplimented by 4 female torks running length wise joining where the bell housing and oil pan meet. To remove the oil pan all bolts must be removed. Then the engine must be lifted off of it's motor mounts. (to do this I jacked the engine and then placed a brace across 4X4 blocks placed on the fenders. to this the jacked up engine was chained. Your local BMW dealer has a cool tool to do this.) This alone won't give you enough room, so either the suspension cross member must be dropped (6 bolts total) or the oil pump removed (7bolts) I chose the latter. Overall your looking at about 4-8hrs. depending on your experience level and tools avalable. Also note that any BMW with the 3.5ltr inline 6cyl is prone to oil pan gasket failure, this is due mostly to the fact that the engine is tilted to the passenger side for hood clearance causing oil to sit on the passenger oil pan "seam" espically under load. First check the battery terminals are clean and the bolts are tight. You can clean them with Bi Carbinate Soda.. Mix 1 teaspoon of Bi Carb to aproxx 2 cups of water and pour over the Battery Terminals and then dry with a thick rag. Gloves should be warn. If its still on after that procedure then look for loose wires but it's possibly better to take it to a battery place as a wrong connection could cause severe damage to your wiring..

It most likely means your transmission is bad. It means theres some type of problem with the transmission mechanical or electrical. On a vehicle of that age i would bet your trans is shot and it is slipping. If that's the case you should junk the car. Its not worth fixing.

Jack rear up,remove wheel,get 2 spring clamps and tighten them up on the spring until there is enough room to pull it out of its cup,fitting is reversal
