How hard is it to change spark plugs in a 2004 buick century with a 3.1?
Extremely difficult to get to the 3 rear plugs because the engine is mounted at an angle in the engine compartment. Make sure the engine is cool, and use a mirror to watch what you're doing. Easiest way I've found short of using a lift to be able to access from beneath. There's not too much room to maneuver tools either. Crappy design for the do-it-yourselfer, that's for sure.
Why are the brakes pulsing when attempting to stop on a 1995 Buick Century?
It is quite likely it is the anti-lock brakes activating. When any wheel loses traction while braking the brakes will be pulsed so that the car will not go into a slide. When driving on slippery roads, you are suppose to pulse your brakes to stop. The antilock system does this for you.
Where is the resistor block for the blower motor located in a 1999 Buick Century Custom?

How would you replace a heater blower motor on a 1989 Buick Century Custom 2.5L 4-cylinder?
The blower motor is on the passenger side of the car just under the hood on the firewall. It looks like an over sized soup can and has about six small screws holding it in. The screws and ect are metric on the car.
To remove it, disconnect the hot lead that goes to the blower motor and then remove the six or so screws and it will pull straight out. I'v replaced mine a couple of times over the years. It's easy.
Mark
Sorry the blower motor looks like a half height soup can and has a 1" or so ring around it. It's right next to the strut tower, on the fire wall, on the passenger side.
Where are the solenoids on a 1994 buick century transmission 4t60e?
Inside of the transaxle. They are located just inside the side cover. Although some part disassembly is required to get full access to the cover, to remove it.......it CAN be accessed for side cover removal, to service solenoids.
There are four things that control your automatic transmission shifting. First: Speed sensor Second: Throttle Position sensor Third: Automatic Transmission Modulator. Fourth: Viscosity (How good) your transmission fluid is. One of those three are probably bad, first start with replacing the fluid and filter in your transmission (Take to a professional for best results), second, look up voltage specs for the Throttle position sensor, test it (It's on your intake ductwork) If it's not within spec, you'll have to adjust it. If it's fine, replace your speed sensor (Easier than the modulator, and it can still register correct speed and send off a bad signal to PCM, causing incorrect shifting) and lastly, replace the modulator. That should fix your problem

What year is the third century?
The first century covered the years from 1 to 100, (no year zero).
The second from 101 to 200.
So the third century would be the years from 201 to 300.
The 20th century really ended at the end of the year 2000, although the celebration was really done at the start of that year.
How do you open a stuck hood latch?
This happened to me on my 92 Caprice. I would pull the hood release and it would not pop up. What I did was to pull the release until I heard the click then pound on the hood right in front an uusually it would pop up at that point. I had it happen for about a year and then I cleaned all the release parts and lubricated them with white lithium grease. I suppose you could have a broken cable but that isn't as common. If it doesn't work opening it, get a friend to hold the release handle inside the car while you pound on it. VBD

How do you change the ignition switch in a '92 Buick Century?
Hey Melissa==The ignition switch is mounted on the top of the steering column, under the dash about 18 inches from the floor. Just remove the 2 screws that hold it on and pull it off. GoodluckJoe
----------------------
There are 2 parts to the ignition switch...The cylinder with the key and the electrical ignition switch mounted on the top of the steering column as Joe (first answer)pointed out. The 2 components are connected by a steel rod.
However the ignition switch on the top of the steering column is a bit trickier to change than Joe noted. To get access you will need to drop the Steering column down. You will need to pull the dimmer switch first to get to the ignition switch. There is a rod the actuates the dimmer switch. You must be careful to get it back in correctly. Also you will need to adjust the ignition switch as it is slotted. As is the dimmer switch...it is also adjustable and you will need to get it adjusted correctly.
Also be extremely cautious if you have a column shift there will be a clip for the PRNDL needle in your dash that will break if you dont disconnect it first. Make sure you mark its position first.
Odometer is out for a Buick Century custom 1999 is there a fuse or must it be replaced?
Fixed mine myself. Just bought car and needed milage for title. So easy to do. 4 resistors over heat after years and come unsoldered. Check youtube with search " Fixing ODOMETER on 1999 Buick. Took me about 30 minutes with no need for special tools, but you will need soldering iron.
Still having the problem? This happened to my brothers 91 Skylark...He would come off of the highway and when pulling up to a stop sign or signal light, it would stall...Putting it in park it would start right up again...Then into drive and it would stall unless he gave it lots of gas then sometimes it would go without stalling...Turned out to be a solenoid in the transmission (I believe it was called the torque converter lock solenoid or something like that)...$200 at the local Chev dealer fixed it... The service manager knew exactly what it was when we called and described the symptoms... You may want to change the transmission oil and filter first. It worked fine in my case.

Blown fuse that controls the power windows. Fuse box is usually under the dashboard just to the left of the brake pedal. It will probably have a black cover. And, if it GM still does it the same way the fuse box will be labeled with what the fuses are for (abbreviated of course) and how many amps it is.
Where is the pcv valve located on a Buick Century?
it shuold be on the valve cover Some do. It depends on which engine. One of the more inconspicuous is in the 3.3 litre V6, where it plugs into the intake manifold under the alternator. You pretty much have to remove the alternator to even see it clearly.
Usually the repairman who has examined the vehicle knows more than the one who hasn't.
That aside, it sounds like a VCC engagement problem of a software error. Check your ATF level (after driving a minimum of 20 minutes at hoighway speed) then, if OK, confirm that you do not drive using two feet. If a one foot driver, check with Buick dealer service department for any software updates. If no updates are available, tell your repairman to replace the modulator or whatever he says it needs.
Where is the exterior paint code for 1994 Buick Century?
The paint code should be part of the car's serial number. Phone a body shop or a car paint store such as Rondex or Maaco in Wpg and they should be able to help you with this.
