What is an ABS brake sensor The light used to be on constantly I had the brakes done and now it comes on intermittently?

All 4 wheels have a sensor on them.On the front it is just a magnet with a wire attached. Those two could have some mud or debree on them, not much to go wrong.Just clean the dirt off. The rear two are different. I will make this easy as possible. A four-wheel anti-lock brake system(ABS) maintains vehicle maneuverability, directional stability, and optimum decleration under severe braking conditions on most road surfaces. It does so by monitoring the rotational speed of the wheels and controlling the brake line pressure to the wheels during braking. This prevents the wheels from locking up on slippery roads or during hard braking. On 95-99 models, the hydraulic controlunit/motor pack assembly, is bolted to the left side of the master cylinder. The control unit/motor pack controles hydrolic pressure to the front calipers and rear wheel cylinders by modulating hydrolic pressure to prevent wheel lock-up. 95-99 models, the Electronic Brake Control Module(EBCM) is located above the left(drivers side)kick panel. The EBCM monitors the ABS system and controls the anti-lock valve solenoids. It accepts and processes information received from the brake switch and wheel speed senors to control the hydrolic line pressure and avoid wheel lock-up.It also moniors the system and stores fault codes which indicates specific problems. I should go on,but you are probably getting confused,so I'll put it in laymans terms. The rear sensors are installed in the rear brake backing plates;the toothed rings are installed on the back side of each hub and bearing unit. The air gap between the sensors and the toothed rings is not ajustable, and the sensors themselfs are not rebuildable. If a ring malfunctions, the entirer hub and bearing assembly must be replaced. SO TO PUT IN ONE SINGLE SENTENCE,,,Change the rear wheel hub bearings/wheel sensor. And if you have alot of miles do both rear.If your front bearings start to go bad it will SOUND like you have Knobby/Mud grip tires on it. You can tell the difference in the sound of a good one and a bad one. But me I would go to a salvage yard get one cheap take it home plug it up and see if the light goes off. Good luck www.autozone.com has diagrams you can see what is involved. Also check that the parking brake lever(foot or hand) is fully released, there MAY be a short in the button switch.

Where is the cam sensor located on a 1991 Buick Regal GS 3800?

I replaced one on an 89 3800, it's on passenger side, it's about half way down the block, make sure you don't look at the crank sensor which is at the bottom of the engine. I replaced in by going down from the top of the engine but you can get it by removing the inner fender and going through the passenger wheel well. If I recall correctly is one one bolt. Just a heads up if you are getting a code regarding the cam sensor, you may have had one of the magnets fall off the cam and this is why you are getting the code. I changed out the cam sensor and still had the code because in GM's brilliance they put magnets on the cam and if one of the magnets falls off, you get a check engine light and then have to read the codes. After replacing the cam sensor, the check engien light was still on and come to determine one of the magnets came off the cam and the only way to repair it was to pull the cam and replace it. The engine diagnostics said it was still safe to drive with the check engine light on and it will remain on until the cam is replaced. The cam sensor was not too expensive and was easy to replace, just be ready in case you replace it and still have the light on. If you can go to a library and look up in Chiltons Repair Manual where the Cam sensor is, or buy the part and try to see where it is on the passenger side of the engine sort of behind or under the water pump. Good luck

What causes Coolant going low without visual leakage?

evaporation through a small leak

Although this could be very possible, I would also check the engine oil for signs of milkiness. If your oil looks somewhat like coffee with creamer in it ....... then it is very likely that your intake manifold gasket let loose and the coolant is mixing with the oil. If this is the case and you are not already to late, stop driving the van immediately ! The coolant in the oil will not only reduce the oils ability to lubricate the engine hence more friction and allot more heat but,, the combination of the coolant in the oil creates an acid that will eat at the surfaces of your engine.

How do you replace the cup holder on a 2003 buick regal?

You need to pull up the center console cover first. Working from front to back carefully pull up to disengage the six pressure clips. You may need to disconnect the traction control wiring connection if you have one. The cup holder is attached to this panel and you could see how to repair or replace it. On my 1999 Regal the cup holder swing out side piece with the little spring fell off. I was able to retrieve them from under the console. Took me a few minutes to figure out how to put it back and re-engage the little spring. I added tape to secure cup holder top piece to the base to prevent them from separating again. Reattach the traction control wire clip and carefully push down to resecure the console panel. I believe the same Regal console panel fit from 1997 to 1005 model - but please verify that. Good Luck!

How do you replace the ignition 1990 buick custom?

You have an open question as to what you are asking. Are you referring to the key and tumbler assembly or the actual ignition switch meaning the electrical part? If you mean the key and tumbler then you need to have a locksmith do it or a repair shop as the key is coded for your car. If you are referring to the switch then in that case you will need special tools to remove it.
