The plate light is protected by the parking/tail light circuit.

Cadillacs and the northstar engine are notorious for squeaky belts. if i were you i would not do it yourself. take it to a dealer mechanic.

Find the amp located behind the back seat. Disconnect the power. Run all new speaker wires from your speakers to the back of the new radio, if that's what you're installing. If you don't do this, you're battery will drain because the car will think the factory radio is still on. and only your tweeters will work

I have the same problem with a 1991 DeVille that I acquired three days ago. The blower worked fine at first, then would not shut off but would vary speed from the dash control. Now it only runs at high speed in the off position. After shutting off the car, the dampers repositions to the heating position from the cooling position. the blower motor has a high amp draw shorting the control module, replace them both!!!!

Cadillac has the a/c to not blow cool air when there is a promblem, you need to get the codes of the car computer. turn the key on but don't crank the engine then push the off and warmer buttons together and the codes will display them selfs.

This just started happening to my 2000 Ford Focus SE. I am investigating the Mass Airflow Sensor, which affects idle as well as the ECM (engine control module) which apparently affects idle, too. I suggest starting there. I had the same problem. There is a vacuum line that goes from the PCV valve to another port behind the engine - mine had a crack right at the elbow. Listen for a hiss or spray carb cleaner around it and look for the engine to rev up. The new vacuum line is covered in a foil, probably to prevent the engine heat from degrading it.

They are goofy little three inch door tweeters with a diamond-shaped plastic housing. I havent been able to find any kind of aftermarket, but I'm sure there is a mounting bracket available in some corner of the internet.

Northstars operate anywhere between 195 degrees at the low end and 240 or so at the high end. Watch your gauge. As long as the needle stays out of the red zone, you're fine.
