Try just the Metadate for a week. ADHD is not treated with Seroquel. Seroquel is an anti-psychotic with strong sedative properties that makes the child appear to be calm. Seroquel is also only FDA approved for patients over the age of 18 for Bipolar mania and Schizophrenia.

In other words, your doctor is a quack, and that is not safe.

This is malpractice.

As an amendment to this answer I'll usually be quick to defend the recommendations of a doctor but I've only seen 200-300mg of seroquel given to patients who are in need of a strong antipsychotic. In fact in the normal treatment of bipolar mania I believe it's usually given out in doses of 25-100mg for adult males...so for a 5 year old child I would certainly say you're within rights to want a second opinion.

If your in a rush, or REALLY NEED to lose 15 pounds or more, you'll need to decrease your calorie intake by more. 1300-1500 will garuntee weight loss, but it's not easy to do after when you're used to eating 2500 calories every day. Work your way down, and be practical! Fruit, vegies, salad, diet soda: GOOD! French fries, dessert, candy, regular soda: BAD! If you really have trouble losing weight, try a dietary supplement. ONLY BUY THEM AT VITAMIN OR GROCERY STORES! NEVER EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER take ANY type of pill or "vitamin" from friends or people selling them on the street or at school. Many vitamins from stores you must be 18 to purchase, but there are some for teens that still work great. Always have a bottle of water with you, and chug, chug chug until you can't hold anymore. (you won't have to pee as much as you think, lol) Don't starve yourself unless your desperate, and even then, always eat something like fruit, and don't do it for very long.
