Both, the horn relay and the horn fuse are located under the dash panel on the left side of the steering wheel.

The fuse is a 20 amp fuse, lower left side of the fuse panel (which is somewhat difficult to access...especially if you have large hands) on the firewall.

The horn relay is located above the fuse panel on the branch of wires coming out from the rear of the fuse panel.

How to locate and change the turn signal flasher on a 2001 Corvette?

Got this from Corvette Forum The emergency flash button -- guess what, the flasher unit is immediately behind it! Here's the sucker once it's out. The black push button on the front just pulls off away from the dashboard. The real GM manual instructions have you pull your whole dash off to remove this relay. I did mine with a brute force alternative. Take off the trim panel that goes around your radio and A/C and take off the knee panel above the pedals (see these directions -- http://www.vetteessentials.com/inst...ezel_howto.html). You'll also need to pull the radio. To do this, remove the two hex-head screws shown in the following picture, located in the light metal colored tabs extending left and right from the radio. Then pull the radio toward you. Next, you'll need to unplug the connectors from the back of the radio. They have a button to push with your thumb, which is demonstrated in the following picture, but of course you'll be doing this when the plug is still in the back of the radio. Here?s the other connectors, which also have the same type of push button, as shown in this picture after they have been disconnected from the rear of the radio. Once you have the trim pieces off and the radio out, you'll see the underside of the unit which has a tab that you can push upward -- there's also such a tab on top, but you can't get to it unless you pull the dash. In the second picture above, you can see the top tab. Push on the bottom one of those tabs with a screwdriver, and at the same time give the front of the unit a whack (note -- this picture was taken only to demonstrate the technique, and actually is the new relay after I had put the radio back in). Use a punch or chisel, and keep it to the right so it is not pushing against the push-button mechanism. If you hit it correctly, it'll slide toward the front of the car. Snake it down and here's what it'll look like: A new one is about $40 from a dealer. Plug it in, snake it back up and clip it place, reverse your steps and you're done.

How do you change the battery on a 1991 Chevy Corvette?

How do you replace a left turn signal bulb on a 1998 Chevy Corvette?

I have a 2002 and am going through this now . I finally figured it out . Open the hood, by the headlight there is knob to manually open the headlight. remove the rubber cover and turn the knob (many times) to raise the headlight . Now you should be able to see the socket for the bulb, its a white plug down pretty low . The problem now is getting it out . IF you have large hands, remove the 3 screws from the plastic cover around the headlight and reach between the hood and down to the socket , it turns clockwise to remove . If you have small hands you can try this (it worked for me) . Reach in the air duct for the brake on the front of the car , the plastic ducting will move out of the way and you can see the plug and remove it . If you can jack up the car , I'm told it easy to remove the wheel and inner fender skirt and get to it that way . Good Luck .

What causes a squeal in the engine on a 1999 Chevy Corvette to increase with acceleration?

I have a 99 and had a nasty squeal that would be intermittant upon acceleration, I changed the belts (upper and lower) and used Gatorbacks (belts by Goodyear), and the squeal is gone.. Don't know if this is the problem or not, but it will only cost you about 50 bucks and hour worth of your time to find out. Good luck!

Where is the spare tire located on a 1998 transport?

It is under the gas tank at the rear of the vehicle, and you use the jack handle and another rod to remove it.

Those two pieces are included in plastic package, and fastened together with the sizzor jack.

This is all fastened into a secure position in the rear right side compartment of the vehicle, that you get at by raising the lift gate and unfastening a cover there on the right side.

Once you have retreived the handle and rod from this package, you push the rod into a hole by the bumper, and inside the liftgate opening.

It will be right in front of you knee or thigh as you stand reaching into the liftgate cargo area.

When you put that rod into the hole, and it engages into the spare tire holding assembly you will feel that it is in the correct place.

With the rod in place, attach the handle to this and turn it counter clockwise (it only needs a few turns ), and the tire will drop down automatically.

Once it is down all the way, you hold the tire up and feed the end of the cable or chain upwards through the hole in the wheel to finish releasing it from the vehicle.

What brand of rims where on the Corvette in Corvette summer i need center caps?

Wow. That movie was a long time ago. If I recall, that car had aluminum slots on it. Those were made by two basic wheel companies, and were very popular, back then. US, was one of the com[panies. ET, was the other. ET, is still in business today, however, I am not too sure about US. Those were a plastic, cone, with a flat on the tip, for the label. Some pressed inside the inner hole of the rim, and some bolted on. If your wheels have small hole around the hole that exposes the axle flange, then you need the bolt on type. Either case, I see them still, at all the car part swap meets.

How do you replace a heater core in a 1982 Corvette?

The CIII Corvettes are difficult to work on and have cramped spaces. I will assume you have an idea of changing out any generic heater core. It makes it a lot easier if you remove the passenger seat. Take apart and store at least 6 feet from the car everything you can take off under the dash between the middle of the car and the right fender . The glove box area is just full of stuff and all needs to go. Take all the heater fan and other stuff off the firewall side. Its then just a matter of screws, fittings etc and not too bad. I have replaced several and do not know of any easy way to make the replacement without stripping everything removable out of that area of the car. Put down some vinyl wrap and towels because they always leak.
