How do you winterize a Corvette?
01: Start by washing and waxing your car completely. Detail the exterior just as if you were preparing for a show.02: Fill your cooling system with antifreeze at the recommended percentage for your area of the Country. A cracked block is no fun!03: Fill your master cylinder. I recommend silicone fluid in older cars, but everyone has their own preference. Silicone fluid will not absorb moisture.04: Pull each spark plug and squirt some oil into the cylinder. Then replace the plug. Also pull the distributor cap and spray CRC 556 or WD 40 into it and then replace it. This will stop moisture from forming in the cap. I would also lubricate all of the linkages, throttle, kickdown, etc. A good grade of white lithium grease will do. If you have any chrome in the engine compartment, make sure to polish it before you finish.
05: Make sure you either fill the fuel system or drain it completely.06: Remove the battery. Now is the time to clean away any corrosion that has formed. Also check your battery's hold down bracket and replace it if needed. Do not store your battery directly on a concrete floor. Always place it on wood. If you can, store it at room temperature and use a trickle charger occasionally to keep it charged.07: Vacuum and thoroughly detail your interior. The one thing I do recommend is not to use any vinyl dressing. This will sometimes create mildew in a damp environment.08: Coat all of the weatherstrips with some type of silicone spray. This will help reject moisture and also keep them soft. Spray it on a rag then wipe it onto each weatherstrip.09: If you have a standard shift car it is a good idea to disengage the clutch. This will keep the clutch disc from sticking and staying engaged when you restart the car in the Spring. Here we place a 2x4 wrapped in a towel against the lower front of the seat cushion and then place another 2x4 of the correct length against the clutch pedal and back to the seat 2x4 to disengage the clutch.10: Place 2 or 3 moisture absorbent packages on cardboard pads in the interior. Also place a plastic bowl with mothballs in it in the interior. The absorbent packages will stop moisture and the mothballs stop mice.11: Now jack up the car and place the jack stand with protective pads (rubber pads or carpet will work) under the front and rear suspension points. By doing this you keep the suspension loaded and the car will be sitting just as it would if it was resting on its tires on the ground. Now is also a good time to lube the entire front and rear suspension and to check and fill the transmission (if it is a standard shift) and the rear end. You may also want to take some duct or masking tape and close off the exhaust tips. This may stop some unwanted guests from making a home in your exhaust system.12: If the car is an automatic, it is a good idea to place a drain pan under the transmission. During a long period, the torque converter will drain and the fluid will overflow and you do not want 5 or 6 quarts of transmission fluid on your floor.13: Remove your tires and wheels. If you have disc brakes, cover the rotor and caliper with a clean towel and spray generously with CRC 556 or WD 40. This will help keep out moisture. It is also a good idea to rotate the rear axle once a month. By doing this you are turning the rear gear and pinion into the rear end fluid and helping to prevent rust on the exposed gear surface.14: To store your wheels and tires, start by cleaning and then dressing them with some type of protectant. Apply a coat of wax or polish to your wheels. Find a cool dry place away from any high heat and lay a piece of carpet or cardboard on the floor. Now start to stack your tires. Use either brown craft paper or plain cardboard between each tire. Never use any type of printed paper (newspaper) because the print can bleed through onto your white letters or whitewalls. After you have stacked your 5 tires (remember the spare), cover them with a large plastic garbage bag (a 55 gallon type works best). This will keep light away from them and keep them from fading.15: Covered and ready for its winter hibernation.
Can a 4 yr old ride in the front seat of at 1999 Chevrolet Corvette?
i would call the state trooper office first but i would think so as long as he or she is in a booster seat
What is the relationship between the fleur de lis and Jesus Christ?
The Fleur de Lis/Lys seems to be associated more with the Virgin Mary, rather than with Jesus Christ. This comes from the conversion of Clovis in 493, when an apparation of the Virgin Mary made a gift of a Fleur de Lis/Lys at his baptism ceremony.
There are a lot more legends/folklore tying the Fleur de Lis/Lys to the Virgin Mary.
Apart from this one, The three petals of the heraldic design of the Fleur de Lis/Lys reflect a widespread association with the Holy Trinity, a tradition going back to 14th century France.
Vat is a word. Vat means containor or box. If you need more information you can look it up on google.
If headlights on a 1981 Corvette will not go down is it a vacuum problem?
Yes.
Yes, most likely. There's a chance that it is something mechanical, but that's a slim chance and only if they have not been used in a LONG time.
If you're not familiar with these problems, I suggest chasing the vacuum lines to listen for a hissing sound either underhood or under dashboard. Remember that the headlight switch actually is an electrical switch AND vacuum valve in-one. Additionally, there is a little black knob (backup vacuum valve) directly under the dashboard in the event that the headlight switch valve doesn't raise the lights. If neither one raises them then you have either a leak or stuck diaphragm. Good luck! -ku2002
You can buy a vacuum troubleshooting guide from Zip Corvette to help you fix the issue.
I fixed it. There are rubber devices called witches hats that go on the vacuum canisters next to the headlights. You can either change the witches hats (quite a job) or just have the vacuum canisters you can get at Ecklers.
Or you can get them at Zip and save some money, here is a link to the headlight components http://www.zip-corvette.com/Zip/dept.asp?dept_id=887
where is the diaphragm located on my 1981 Corvette? How do you change power steering fluid for a 1973 corvette?
you can either remove the hose on the back of the pump and let the fluid leak out or you can suck the old fluid out with a turkey baster through the cap.
Where is the hood release on 1975 Corvette?
Hood release is left of steering wheel right below the round ball air/AC outlet. Kinda sits up under the dash and has a black plastic handle that you pull out and you'll see the hood pop up.
Is a 1982 Corvette a good car?
Depends on what you are buying it for. Some consider it to be the best looking vette to date. Some don't appreciate the rear half of the car.

Box-Jenkins Approach The Box-Jenkins ARMA model is a combination of the AR and MA models where the terms in the equation have the same meaning as given for the AR and MA model. Comments on Box-Jenkins Model A couple of notes on this model. # The Box-Jenkins model assumes that the time series is stationary. Box and Jenkins recommend differencing non-stationary series one or more times to achieve stationarity. Doing so produces an ARIMA model, with the "I" standing for "Integrated". # Some formulations transform the series by subtracting the mean of the series from each data point. This yields a series with a mean of zero. Whether you need to do this or not is dependent on the software you use to estimate the model. # Box-Jenkins models can be extended to include seasonal autoregressive and seasonal moving average terms. Although this complicates the notation and mathematics of the model, the underlying concepts for seasonal autoregressive and seasonal moving average terms are similar to the non-seasonal autoregressive and moving average terms. # The most general Box-Jenkins model includes difference operators, autoregressive terms, moving average terms, seasonal difference operators, seasonal autoregressive terms, and seasonal moving average terms. As with modeling in general, however, only necessary terms should be included in the model. Those interested in the mathematical details can consult Box, Jenkins and Reisel (1994), Chatfield (1996), or Brockwell and Davis (2002). Stages in Box-Jenkins Modeling There are three primary stages in building a Box-Jenkins time series model. # Model Identification # Model Estimation # Model Validation RemarksThe following remarks regarding Box-Jenkins models should be noted. # Box-Jenkins models are quite flexible due to the inclusion of both autoregressive and moving average terms. # Based on the Wold decomposition thereom (not discussed in the Handbook), a stationary process can be approximated by an ARMA model. In practice, finding that approximation may not be easy. # Chatfield (1996) recommends decomposition methods for series in which the trend and seasonal components are dominant. # Building good ARIMA models generally requires more experience than commonly used statistical methods such as regression. Sufficiently Long Series RequiredTypically, effective fitting of Box-Jenkins models requires at least a moderately long series. Chatfield (1996) recommends at least 50 observations. Many others would recommend at least 100 observations. source: http://www.itl.nist.gov/div898/handbook/pmc/section4/pmc445.htm
How do you remove headlight switch on 2001 Sable?
On the bottom edge of the switch's plastic trim there is a small slot in the center. Insert a flat-bladed screwdriver and gently pry upward and outward. When the switch begins to come out, pry around the edge until it comes free. The switch is held in place with three small spring clips.
How do you remove the top on a 96 Corvette?
Remove the 4 bolts at each corner of the top with the supplied tool that should be in your console. If the tool is missing, seek a replacement.
After you've loosened up all the 4x nuts/bolts from the straps, and disconnected the sending unit wires, and the fuel line (with an empty tank), then put a rag in the filler neck. Back the vehicle from the garage and raise it on jack stands so you can easily get under the rear of the vehicle.
What is the best oil for 2007 Corvette?
Mobil 1 pure synthetic. Answer 2: Any 5w30 synthetic oil that meets the GM oil requirement. Mobil 1 and Pennzoil Platnum (iirc) are ones that do, and I believe there are a few more.
What are the fuel pressure specs for a 99 breeze 2liter?
