More than likely, they are the ones that communicate between the driver's controls and dash controls to the engine and engine computer, as well as the lights up front. If you don't know what they are don't mess with it. Anything that is wired in a car such as your headlights, wipers, horn, fuel pump etc, goes through a series of fuses and relays. These wire are used to communicate with the various systems in the car, so if you don't know what exactly it's for, don't mess with it.

If a red oil light comes on in a car, it means the vehicle is low on oil. It could also mean that the oil pump is not working.

Simply put... It's because the failure mode of the blower control module is electric power on! (even with ignition off)... Disconnect the battery, or better... find and remove the 30 amp blower fuse. Remove and replace module with serviceable unit. Reinstall fuse or reconnect battery. Good luck! Note: If the blower is noisy at high speed or in cold temperatures, (if it vibrates or rumbles and squeals), now is the time to change it!

It is located in the fuel tank but you can get to it through your trunk. Just take off the carpet in the trunk and there is going to be a plate with eight screws i believe. Take that off and you will be able to access the fuel pump.

Have a mechanic check your fuel pressure regulator. This is not a difficult or terribly expensive fix, and should solve your problem. It's pretty common with these cars.

could be a number of problems.

1. speed sensor in the wheel hub could be bad.

2. Brake fluid may be low

3. may have a leak or problem with the master cylinder

Could be lots of things. You should have it checked for codes. The temp gauge problem would make me think of a possible temp sensor problem. It should be located near the thermostat housing.

The port nearest the firewall on the Drivers side of the vehicle. ---Also See Below--- The low-pressure port usually has a blue or black dust cap and is located on the larger diameter metal tubing that runs between the evaporator (in the dashboard) and the compressor. To locate the low-pressure port: # Find the compressor. # Find large diameter metal tubing that leads from the compressor back to the fire wall. # Find port on this tube. Our quick-connect coupler should fit onto this port. To be sure, compare with the port on the other tube (smaller tube) that leads from the compressor to the condenser near the radiator. This port is larger and is the High Side port. Our quick-connect coupler will NOT fit on the High Side port. # Do not attempt to connect to the high side port as this can cause a can of refrigerant to explode. # Sometimes the low side port is on-or-near the compressor, sometimes it's on an accumulator near the firewall…not on the large diameter metal tube.

check your brake fluid level and fill with brake fluid to the top of the master cylinder reservoir.

It's a standard J hook wiper, check the owners manual, it has a picture on how you release the clip.

A cylinder misfire by itself shouldn't cause to much damage, but if you drive it while it's misfiring, it will cause a strain on the rst of the engine because you are going to be pulling the same weight with only 5 cylinders. The car will work harder, get hotter, etc. My suggestion is definitely to figure out the problem before driving the car anywhere long distance. A couple short trips is probably not going to cause undue damage, but if you have a way to drive a different car until you get the misfire fixed, I would hold off on even the couple short trips.

I had trouble with a Made in China Chrome dipstick. I took an angle grinder with a cut off wheel (not a grinding wheel, too aggressive) and flipped the grinder upside down, mounted in a vise so you can use two hands. Hold the tube with both hands and gently roll it across the wheel at a slight angle. The idea is to remove as little material as possible. Taper the end of the tube so it gets slightly smaller at the bottom. Tap it into the block with a small hammer. Repeat the grinding if necessary until the tube taps in without much effort.

if you reach down behind the engine on the passenger side you will feel the cap-it is pressure sensitive. you can take it off with one turn. it is a tight fit but is possible. then to add fluid you need a funnel with a long stem. you can feel when the funnel is in and add your fluid. After you add fluid replace the cap and start the car. take a flshlight and shine down near the pump to make sure you are not spraying fluid all over everything. If you are you need a new pump.

I spent a couple of hours last night working on the same problem. I was able to check the level by jacking up the car and taking off the passenger side tire. I had to reach it from below the car and was able to check the level. Good luck on adding to it if it is needed though. What a bad design this is!

On the passenger side, near the firewall and down a foot or two, you'll find it. You can access it from above, but it isn't easy.

this is a major pain in the butt,and the design is horrible...I had to remove cross bar in back and coolant overflow just to get at it!

You need either a code scanner or a analog volt meter. With the scanner, you just need to read the codes. WIth the volt meter, you'll need a chiltons or hanes manual to see where to hook it up.

Turn off radio, leave ignition in accessory position... hold in tuner knob until it beeps into programming, and toggle into FOB Programming. Hold lock and unlock near dashboard for a few seconds. This should accomplish the task. Make sure your FOB is for an '01 Impala and the battery is good. Instructions are listed in the owners manual on how to do this. NOTE: If you have an aftermarket radio, then you are out of luck, as the Factory SRS Radio controls many of the ammenities of the vehicle.

You put down the back seat and lift open the trunk lid for fresh air. Raise the carpet off the inside of the trunk close to the back seat. You should see a trap door. Lift it and there is your fuel tank and pump. I can also vouch that on my 2002 Impala LS, the fuel pump is accessible through a removable panel in the trunk. If you're lucky enough to have an Impala model that has the fold-down rear seats it is simple to determine if you have the removable panel. Simply fold down your rear seats. Next, from inside the car, carefully pull back the trunk liner by slipping it out from under the folded down rear seats. The liner has an overlap near the center of the trunk running backwards toward the spare tire well. The liner overlap is held down by a few dabs of sticky glue. After pulling back the trunk liner, if you see a metal panel that is attached by some nuts, then you are really in luck. Remove the nuts and pry the metal panel up by using a flathead screwdriver or similar device. The panel is also held down by some sticky glue, so pry slowly and carefully by making several passes around the panel so you don't bend it. And viola, the fuel pump is right there! A car burns oil due to overheating being one issue. Overheating can be caused by something small as a leaking seal or a blown gasket, old hoses, or as big as a crack on an engine head or even worse a crack on the engine block itself. A car can also burn oil when it is almost gone. Word to the wise always check your fluids!

Wear on the piston rings can cause oil burning. Also, missing or dried up valve seals will cause oil burning. Usually associated with high mileage or poorly maintained engines.check engine oil a least once a week as said check your fluids.like people checking and taking care makes things run better & smoother

A car can burn oil if the Valve stem oil seals are leaking. This is normally because the property in which the rubber is made of gives up. Then the seal goes hard and looses its flexibility, causing oil to seep past from the cylinder Head into the cylinders (this also causes a thing known as back pressure)..... also... your pistons have little rings around them.. oil rings and scraper rings.. These sometimes wear out or stick, again causing oil to seep past them into the cylinders. This too can cause back pressure. Then it could also be down to crack cylinder block, cylinder head or maybe just a head gasket or seal.
