Turn on the ignition, wipers, and stop them in the up position by turning off the ignition when they are up. Now raise the hood and look on the passenger side. The plastic panel just below the windshield must be removed to gain access to the filter. 4 plastic clips hold it in place. Pull the center up in each clip and the clip will come right out. Reverse to install. If you purchase a Purolator Cabin filter, it comes with instructions.

You need to pass it under the car just under the passenger floor mat you have a hole just the right size for the cable
1st put on parking brake with car off. on passenger side pull plastic on the bottom (by floor) of center console out far enough to reach hand in; find the wiring harness and there is a button you can push to release interlock .You can then put car in neutral while holding down on button and start and drive car. It is a bit of a pain, but can get car to destination without towing or ripping console apart . Fairly common problem with wiring in harness wearing due to motion of shifter. Can try pushing wires back into wiring harness; I got mine to work for another year after doing this before taking to shop for $150 repair
