I have a 2000 impala and my window came off the track afew times. It's the passenger window and the metal guide in the door is rusted and not as stable as it originaly was. So I took off the door panel and unmounted the speaker to loosen the track bolt at the base of the door and put it back together. The cause of the window falling off the track is when the window half or all the way down and someone closes the door that way. It jars the window inward and then unable to go up all the way. I have yet to find the replacement part or even know how much work it is to swap out. This is what I pay professionals for! A one our job for them can take us up to a day to do.
