Why do you drive on a parkway and park on a drive way?
This, my friend, is the worlds greatest conundrum... The parkay and the driveway... you see, it happens because the world is backwards and if you park on the parkway, you get rear ended...
See this great link...It worked for me on my 1997 which should have the same setup as yours (see related links).
Can you tow a 5 speed 1997 2WD Geo Tracker?
Manual Tranny is the same as Automatic Tranny when towing a 2WD.
2WD (Tow from back): Secure the rear wheels with a towing dolly (follow instructions for the dolly), set key to ACC, Make sure wheels are straight forward and secure the steering wheel with a clamping device for towing. The column isn't strong enough for shocks from the front wheels, make sure it's unlocked (setting it to ACC) before towing.

What is the approximate cost to replace the timing belt of a 1994 Geo Tracker?
Depending on whether you go to a dealer or a local mechanic, you can probably expect a range of $500 at the dealer, down to $150 or so at a local. The belt is cheap, but don't figure you can change it yourself like the alternator or power steering belt. It requires the cover and other parts to come off and then that the timing is set properly with the right tension. It will cost you alot more if you mess it up and the belt slips or isn't set up right, causing engine damage.
The rattle may be caused by either a bad bearing in one of the pump wheels, (ie water pump, power steering, etc.) or the belt tensioner has seized. My tracker's tensioner had seized up, and while it didn't rattle on acceleration or deceleration, it would rattle when the engine was started on a cold day, due to the belt being lose. It wasn't a squeal either, but it sounded like someone was shaking a pop can full of marbles. Living in northern Ontario Canada, we have some cold days, and it would rattle quite loudly. Other than that i really have no other ideas. Hope this helps!
Good luck!
What causes a Thumping noise while driving I Put new tires on and is still thumping?
loose lugnut, wheel bearings, cv joint, u joint, bad tire(s), it could be many problems. i would start in the order mentioned and go from there. just dont go to a mechanic saying "i dont know what this noise is.." they are likely to soak you with more to spend.. hope that helps..
When the brake pads are worn the rivets will actually touch the brake rotor when the brakes are applied. The brakes should be changed immediately.

What are Torque specs on tie rod end of 93 geo tracker?
It's more of an alignment question than a torque question. Once the alignment is good, snug them up well and you'll be fine. As many as I've done, on many different brands of vehicles, I've never used a torque wrench.

How do you know when your tires need to be replaced?
Most original equipment tires have wear indicator bars that will appear when your tread depth reaches a predetermined limit, usually 1/16 inch. It can be monitored with a tool called a tread depth indicator, or a penny placed head down into the tread, when the tread reaches the top of Lincolns head they are ready to be replaced. Look for unusual wear patterns like cupping, flat spots, and more wear on one side more than another as these indicate an suspension or balance issue that must be corrected.
