I have seen this case with an older 88 Buick and it was the PSPS Power Steering Pressure Switch. You can check to see if it has one of these or try looking at the power steering pump also and fluid.

Remove the inside door panel of your Chevrolet Astro Van. Remove the wiring harness from the mirror. Remove the side mirror retaining bolts.

Hi,

Most of the time a problem like this is either the wiring between the switch and the window motor or the switch. You will need to do a little troubleshooting, but it is a relatively simple circuit that controls the windows.

It depends if it is the front or rear brakes. Most likely if it is the front brakes you need to take off the front wheels then unbolt the two bolts on the back of the calper. Then you need to remove the caliper and take the brake pads out. After you do that you need to get a c clmp and push the caliper piston back into the calpier making sure that you take off the cap to your brake booster so it will release any fluid back into your resevor. After you have pushed the piston back in to where it is flush with the edge of the caliper, put the new pads back where the old one came out and put the caliper back on the rotor. After that bolt it back up and replace the wheels and reservor cap. Then the last step is to pump your break pedal. That should do it for you. There should be a sticker by the radiator to verify the engine size but barring that, I'm pretty sure the only 6 cylinder engines put in 1965 vans was a 230 cu. in. inline six. The only other 6 cylinder available was a 292 but those were special order for pickups. I doubt they put one in a van.

If it has the 3.1 engine, it will be on the driver side of the car below the throttle body. Just folow the radiator hose to the block and you will find it.

You will need to remove the tire and wheel from your 2004 Chevrolet Astro Van. Remove the end of the axle. Remove the wheel bearing nut. Remove the wheel bearing and the wheel seal. Reverse the process to install the new wheel bearing.

You're probably finding that the shaft the collar nut is on spins when you try to remove it. There are several tricks. If the unit is still on - leaving the belt on for tension, heat the collar nut with a torch and rap your open end wrench with a hammer. this should loosen it rather easy. If the unit is apart, and your replacing the water pump, lock up the pump impellor, heat the collar nut and rap your open end wrench with a hammer. CAREFUL WITH THE TORCH. Good Luck.
