THE PICTURE WAS TAKEN ON JUNE 24, 1924 BY CARSON NUMBER 65031 IN A BUBBLE FRAME GLASS CATHEDRAL DESIGN WITH A NUMBER WRITTEN ON THE BACK IN BLACK CRAYON...THE NUMBER IS 26 WRITTEN OVER ANOTHER NUMBER 8-107, LIKE A FRACTION IS WRITTEN. I WOULD LIKE TO FIND OUT WHO THIS IS. I SEE THAT THE GRANDDAUGHTER OF JACOB AND KATHEREN BRAUN SAID SHE HAD A PICTURE OF HER GRANDPARENTS FROM THE SAME DAY. ANYONE WITH INFORMATION WOULD BE APPRECIATED...THANKS

What is information on McCormick Reaper Works?
it spun a wheel around and cut down wheat.
IMPROVED ANSWER:
Like all major wars, the American Civil War brought vast social changes. Before the war America appeared to be a nation of farms and villages, with vast empty spaces and unconquered wilderness. After the war, the tourist's eye met cities, factories, railroads and large steamships.
Cyrus McCormick's reaper (for cutting grain) and John Deere's steel plow opened up the rich prairies of Indiana, Illinois, and Iowa. Although both had been invented in the 1830's, the wartime demand brought them into general use.
At his harvester plant in Chicago, McCormick was able to mass-produce reapers on an assembly line. Then, through such selling techniques as traveling demonstrations and installment buying, he placed one on nearly every midwestern farm.
