Should be located in a removable housing at the engine end the upper radiator hose Drain about 1 gallon of coolant from the radiator
Remove this housing
Make note how thermostat is installed
Clean both surfaces
Replace thermstat and gasket
Re-fill coolant slowly to prevent an air lock
Start engine and look for leaks
Run engine to normal operating temperature with heater on
Re-check coolant level

There are performance chips available, have a look on Ebay. One note tho'. If the engine has a lot of miles on it, don't chip it unless you want to buy a new engine! ^^ performance chips are a ripoff, it's just a resistor that fools the inlet air temp sensor into thinking it's cold outside so the engine runs full-rich all the time. That extra fuel means exhaust emissions go up, gas mileage goes down, and you'll be replacing the oxygen sensor in a few months. These cars weren't built for speed, they're underpowered, overweight, and geared wrong. About the only reliable method would be a properly installed EFI nitrous kit. You can try larger injectors and advancing the timing, but the air/fuel map is hardcoded in the ESU which can't easily be changed.

On the 90 Lebaron I looked for a fuse box like Ford's have. Found out all of the fuses and relays are mounted on the sidewall under the hood. They are black squares, that are not necessarily interchangeable. I don't remember if is Ford that you can't interchange, but all the others use the same relay fuses. Mary

Look down into the engine bay and the starter is behind the manifold on the right side of the engine. to replace.. 1. Disconnect the red lead on the battery 2. Raise the front of the car and support on jackstands.. DO NOT WORK BENEATH AN UNSUPPORTED VEHICLE 3. Label and disconnect the wires from the terminal and solenoid. 4. Undo the three bolts that hold in the starter. Install is reverse of removal
