The trade name was used by Shapleigh Hardware of St Louis which was founded just after the Civil War and may still be in business. I would say a 16 gauge from one of the "shotgun mills" would have been a bit unusual before the mid to late 1920s, and by about 1950 most of the old trade names had disappeared. Less than $25 if busted or rusted. Less than $100 in excellent condition.

If you are asking about one of the Diamond series automatics or pumps imported from Turkey in the last 4 or 5 years, I can't help except to say they seem to be moderately priced in new condition. I will assume you are holding a Diamond Arms single or double barrel shotgun c. 1890-1914. These were made for Shapleigh Hardware Co of St Louis by various manufacturers in the US and Belgium. Some will be hammerless, some back-hammer boxlocks, and some open-hammer sidelocks. There will be damascus, twist, and fluid steel barrels. A newer gun with fluid barrel may still be useable, but most should be retired and are valued only as a mantle decoration. Double barrels usually trade for $150-$250 and single shots for $25-$100 depending on condition.
Diamond Arms shotguns were made by several manufacturers, but if the rest of the patent date is '13', this one was by J. Stevens Arms and retailed by Shapleigh Hardware.

If it was in new condition, it could be worth $200+, but since it's already worn, it may be worth only half as much (or possibly even less). As a collectable, re-finished/restored is equal to worn-out (no ORIGINAL finish remaining), so you won't be doing any monetary damage to it. I'd suggest just cleaning the wood with a good furniture cleaner and the metal with gun oil $ brass wool. Whatever you do, don't attempt to have it hot-blued or you may find yourself with two single barrels. (You probably can't do that yourself anyway and a competent gunsmith should know better.)

Depending on the model and in top condition or new in box, they are selling as fallows. The KP-1 and MK-85 in .54 are selling around $225 +/- extras like stainless barrels and camo stocks are adding $50 to 75 to that.
