Can you be fired while on disability?
As far as I know, when you are on disability your are to return to your employer with either the same or similar position. They can give away your position, but you are allowed back onto the job with a similar or same position. For example, you stock shelves in a store in Dept A. making $$ an hour. You go on disability and they put another person in your spot. When you return to work after being on disability your employer is obligated to have you stock shelves as before at $$ per hour, but it may be in a Dept B.
I hope that makes sense. I would fill out the FMLA form because that protects you.
Is the monthly social security check prorated if they die in middle of month?
Social Security benefits are paid in arrears. That is, benefits are paid on the 1st of the month AFTER the beneficiary has earned them by living the previous month. The requirement is a person must live the entire month to earn the benefit. For instance, if one dies during the month of September - even September 30th - then no benefit should be paid on October 1st.
If a beneficiary dies, you should notify the Social Security Administration immediately, as well as any other federal retirement office which pays retirement annuities. If a check is sent, don't cash it but return it. If money is directly deposited in the bank, don't spend it as it will be transferred back to the government.
You should first call (800) 772-1213 and speak with a Social Security agent for more information.

Striped area on the pavement means no parking. Ever. Vehicles are not supposed to be on that pavement. There is no requirement that there is a sign for handicapped parking, it must be clearly marked. And if it is painted on the pavement and it isn't covered with snow, there is no excuse.
I know from personal experience that Social Security will pay disabled individuals who are deemed permanently disabled. That is through FICA, the Federal INSURANCE contribution act. Most people do not know that FICA is an insurance plan that not only pays when an individual reaches retirement age but also for disability, survivor's benefits to children under 18 whose parent has died, and a whole $250 burial benefit (which hasn't been changed or upgraded since inception of the act in 1936).
For those who have not earned sufficient amounts to have social security pay, a permanently disabled can receive SSDI, Social Security Disability Income which is separate from the regular SSD (Social Security Disability) program.
A massive hemorrhagic stroke disabled me to the point that I could not walk, talk or, of course, do any work. It has taken YEARS to get to the point that I'm at now.
When I turned 65, my disability income from SSD (I had been a computer engineer when I had the stroke) converted to regular Social Security and I continued to receive the same amount as when I was receiving disability income.
Hope that helps.

How do I get tricare I am a disabled veteran?
you should have tricare if you are a vet. If you are old enough to get medicare, tricare for life is the insurance that is usually attached. Get online and tricare.com I belive that not all vets have tricare. You receive Tricare benefits if you were retired from the military (either medically or due to time/age). You would have a retired ID card and that is your Tricare medical card as well. If you think you are eligible you can contact tricare by calling 1-800-tricare and you will be directed to the necessary region. I hope that helps. My husband and I were both medically retired/disabled and have tricare insurance. But friends that are considered disabled by the VA only do not get the same benefits. I am basing my response on personal knowledge and experience.
Best Regards,
