1998 Dodge Durango Recharged AC 30 days ago now blowing hot air Possible problems?

You apparently have a refrigerant leak. I am having the same issue with my 98 Durango. My neighbor who is a mechanic has put a flourescent dye in my system which will hopefully show me where the problem is when it leaks down again. Meanwhile, you might try charging with refrigerant with leak stop solution. This will sometimes stop slow leaks around seals, connections, etc. However, there is some risk that it may clog the H-valve (expansion valve) so don't use too much of this. One can should be sufficient. Then complete the charge with regular 134 refrigerant. If this doesn't do it, you'll probably need to take it to an AC specialist $$$.

Where is the camshaft position sensor located on a 1998 Ford Taurus?

If you are talking about a 3.0 (12 valve), it is on the camshaft position synchronizer at the rear of the engine under the engine control wiring harness, below the thermostat housing area. If you are talking about a 3.0 (24 valve), it bolts to the front of the timing cover with an 8mm bolt.

How do you replace the water pump on a 1998 Isuzu Rodeo?

It is a very involved process. You need to remove the front side of the engine. The Water Pump is behind the Timing Belt so I would also replace the belt, idler pully, and tensioner, seeing that this is such an involved job. If you are new to major mechanic work leave this job to a Pro. At least go to the library and check out a book on this type of job, you will have to retime the cams when you put the timing belt back on. Get this wrong and you will have big trouble.

What is the code p0300 for a 1999 Dodge Durango?

P0300 Diagnostic Code - Random Misfire

Symptoms.
Engine may stumble or miss
Engine may be hard to start
you may notice no issues

Cause
Failing spark plugs or spark plug wires
Bad coil or coil pack
Failing oxygen sensor(s)
Bad fuel injector or more than one
Stuck exhaust valve
Bad catalytic converter
EGR valve or valve passage clogging
Bad camshaft position sensor
Bad PCM or ECM

The Fix
Best first action is a tune up, new plugs, wires, inspect all hoses and wire connections then reset the code. If it returns you will need to narrow it down to a system, coils and coil packs should be tested, catalytic converters for function ( do you smell rotten eggs?). A misfire that jumps cylinders could indicate a lean condition, do you have any other codes along with the 300? this will help clue you in to the source, check valve function to make sure they are opening and closing fully.
This is probably pone of the most difficult codes to troubleshoot, so start with the basics and work your way into the more expensive options, in many cases a good old tune up solves the problem, back it up with a fuel system cleaning and see where you stand.

Temperature gauge showing car running hot but when you start driving gauge goes down to normal i already changed coolant temp sensor and had engine thermostat checked?

When you start moving you increase the air flow through the radiator and increase the amount of coolant being pumped by the water pump. Therefore the temperature goes down. You're going to need to figure out why the temp. goes up when stopped. Could be low coolant. Could be partially plugged radiator. Could be bad electric fan clutch. Could be many things.

How do you install a heater core in a 1998 Dodge Durango?

my 1999 durango heater core is on its way out .i as well am trying to get info on it. so far i under stand you must evacuate he a/c and disconect / deactivate the air bags.itsa 5+ hour job . the part ive found for 135.00 the dealer want 600.00 to install ouch i dont think so. i need to know how to take the dash out?

im not sure where u got yer heater core at but i picked one up at autozone for less then 50 dollars

also on autozone site they tell u how to take the dash and core housing out.its about a 6 hour job for a professional

Its a heck of a job, I saw online that it is at least a 2 day job, and I would allow at least that many days. Its very rough, you have to remove everything, and take the dash completely out, drop the steering wheel. There was many, many screws that had to come off, just for the dash and alot of connectors. The intrument cluster was kind of a breeze, but be carefull of the gear indicator, don't break that cable. It took me one day just to get to the heater core, then the next to get everything back together. One thing, they say to take the whole box out you have to evac the a/c unit, I didn't take the whole box out, I cut the top in half, and removed just what I needed, it worked way better, I didn't want to mess with the a/c. Its very tricky, some of the screws are underneath the box, upside down, and very tricky and hard to find, but if you actually like doing that kind if stuff and like a challenge, it is all of that and more. The dash is kind of heavy, so you might have someone around to help. Where I live, it was a 8 hour job, $1,100 and I think that was just labor, and yea the mopar part was $135. Its all labor, once you get to the heater core, take about 1/2 hour to change.

Where is the fuel filter located on a 2004 Chevy Silverado?

The fuel filter is located in the back left, top, of the engine. It is just in front of the second battery( if you have one). I have replaced it several times. Once you have managed to loosen it, you have to pull it out through the wheel well. It costs about $50.

Diesel or gas? Diesel is under the hood, passenger side, in front of the firewall, near where the second battery is. Gas is in the tank. Its supposed to be a lifelong filter, but I've had to replace them. Your best solution is DON'T drop the tank! Get a couple of hands to help lift the BED of the truck off the frame. Disconnect; the taillights, the fuel tank filler spout, (there's a ground wire next to it also) and 8 bolts to the bed. Slide the bed back or off completely, if you have room. Be sure to scrape loose and brush off all the dirt you can before pulling the pump housing out of the tank. Trust me, I've done it both ways and this beats draining the gas, dragging it out, pushing it back in place.

Starting in 2004 G.M. moved the fuel filter into the fuel tank.....as part of the fuel pump Assembly.G.M said that it is non-serviceable.

I spent about an hour. A tech at the dealership also told me it is part of the fuel pump assembly, which is STUPID, because now when it get dirty, I have to replace a $400 fuel pump instead of a $12 filter.
