Dodge Ram Van

The flasher unit on a Dodge Van is located under the dash on the driver's side. Look for a small round cylinder that has a three prong plug in.

The tank is right up against the floor, so if you cut even 1/4" beyond the contoured floor panel, you cut a hole right in the gas tank.


*Addition* So as the answer before shows you would have to drop the tank first then cut your trap door out. Reinstall the tank afterwards. Also with the tank down you can get a good general idea of where the fuel pump lines up.

*Edit: Yeah good point... Generally the pump is going to be in the middle of the tank. I assumed he was trying to get a pump out of the junkyard and can't get access to the underside to lower the tank. I tried just cutting a hole to get to the pump in a parts van I bought, and put a hole in the tank.

Trace the upper rad hose from the radiator to the engine ane at the engine there is the thermostat housing. Take the bolts out ane hoses off and when you reinstall the thermostat make sure the spring goes toward the engine.

Your pulley system that controls the motion of the belt and the tighness will either consist of 4 or five pulleys, with the Alt, being of course at the top. the very bottom pulley that likey can only be reached from under th car, should be your compressor pulley, the one in the middle, between the alt. and the compressor, should be your water pump with its pulley. Using the process of elimination, you can find out that there will be a pulley left, this is the belt tensioner pulley. It has a bolt in the center of it, it may be either 5/8 or 15 mm. This can be fitted with a wrench, or if you are lucky, a ratchet, and then turned as if you were loosening it, you will see the alt , pull up and it will be tightened this way, you may also want to apply some belt dressing. if this doesn't help , the belt may be squealing for another reason, such as the water pumb may be getting ready to go out or the compressor pulley may be getting loose.

Cut it out and weld in new steel.

Very simple. Pop the hood and locate blower motor on passenger side of wall. It is very easy to locate if you hve the replacement motor in hand. Remove the four or five bolts, unplug harness, replace with new unit and reverse steps.

The engine computer (behind the battery) is the regulator.

check your fuel filter and fuel pump and or relay

Be sure to check the inertia switch as well.

Multiple warning lights on a vehicle can mean several things. It often indicates a mechanical or computer failure on the vehicle.

Check that your Catalytic converter is not blocking the airflow.

Standard tank is 22 gal. although most are 35 gal. If you run it to just above empty and it takes more than 22 gals to fill (like 26 or so) then you have a 35 gal. tank like mine, which is same year and model. I have to run mine WAY below E on the gauge (like a 1/4 inch!) to run out of gas, could be my gauge but I don't think so. Hope that helps.

Go to an auto parts store and get some new ones.

the cap should be marked .cylinder one goes towards the back of the intake at about seven o'clock if you are looking at the distributor 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2- firing order cyl 1 drivers side front.number 2 pass front

Start out by checking for a vacuum leak both inside and outside for the a/c and heater.........

Not sure what year you have but Dodge Van blower motors can be found under the hood on the passenger side.
