Looking from the front of the car, the cylinder numbers will appear like this:

In other words, cylinder 1 is the one closest to the passenger side, nearest the firewall. Cylinder 6 is on the driver side end, towards the front of the car.


The firing order is easy on this car: 1-2-3-4-5-6

Look at the lower rear end of engine - follow the + battery cable

Park on level surface. Drain the oil and replace the filter. Pour in 4.5 quarts of oil and start the engine. Let it run for 2 minutes, shut off and let sit for 30 minutes. Check the level and add if necessary. You now know how much it holds.

Well check the fluid.It maybe low you have to have the car running when checking it.It low top it off and see what happens. change fluid and filter. filter gets clogged when debris settles and blocks fluid from transfer. if left alone it will take tranny out

In order to take out the DEH-p7700mp you first remove the faceplate and decorative ring. Then you will use the metal "keys" provided with the head unit by sliding them in the small slit on either side of the unit. If the keys are not available then a long small screwdriver or metal coat hanger may suffice. Good Luck!

you need to take the spindl off then you got to press the hub out then look for a snap ring then press the bearing out and repet backwards

I had the exact same problem with a 1999 Dodge Stratus. I replaced the blower motor resistor twice only to find out that the blower motor itself was the problem. I know others with the same type of car, i.e. Dodge Stratus that had this problem. It turns out that Chrysler must have gotten a bad batch of blower motors form some supplier. I went to the junk yard and got another used blower motor and put that in with another resistor (the second one blew out again) and it worked fine!

Follow your bottom radiator hose to the side of the motor (right side) there will be a housing take the bolts off and the thermostat will be in the block at the front. Tight squeeze because of limited room but should only take about 30 min. to change and put back together... this is on a 2.4 L SOHC.

pretty much the battery in a dodge stratus is used for starting and to complete the charging circuit. this is same in any vehicle

The DECK caution light signifies that your trunk is open.

Pop the hood, there are two screws that hold the whole light assembly in the car. They are located on the top, left and right. One is longer than the other. Do not move the adjustment screws that are also located on the top. After removing the two screws mentioned earlier, the whole light assembly can be wiggled out the front. It is tight going through, I had to gently use a small screw driver to move the trim out of the way. Once you get the assembly on the bumper there is just enough room to reach on the back side and turn the big plastic horseshoe shaped retainer to the left about an inch and the retainer and bulb comes right out. Notice how the horseshoe retaining ring is positined and how much it needs to turn to lock so when you are juggling it back together you "know" it is locked and correct. Mark it if it helps you line it up. Whatever you do, DO NOT TOUCH THE NEW REPLACEMENT BULB WITH YOUR BARE HANDS. These new type bulbs get really hot and the oil from your skin will ruin the bulb very quickly, if not immediately. There goes $10 down the drain. I use a clean cloth or rubber gloves...anything clean. Test the lights before wiggling the whole thing back inside the car.

It is threaded into the valve cover. There is a rubber tube that attaches to the valve cover - pull off the tube (there may be a clamp) - then unscrew the PCV valve with a wrench.

No, the inside temp is controlled by a temp door inside the heater box.

As you are looking under the hood the PCV valve is inline in hoses between the intake manifold tubes (Aluminum) right in front about center and the egr bolts onto the head (As you are looking at it) right side towards the back.
