It means that you need to check the trans computer for codes..

Many things actually but...........disconnect your neg battery terminal under the hood where you jump a car off for about a minute or two and reconnect. Also......Auto Zone will run a free diagnostic on the car and tell you the codes/problems!

You have to use a special tool to press it in. Mine just popped out last night. The original factory ball joints are junk. Aftermarket are much better quality.

P0300 Diagnostic Code - Random Misfire

Symptoms.
Engine may stumble or miss
Engine may be hard to start
you may notice no issues

Cause
Failing spark plugs or spark plug wires
Bad coil or coil pack
Failing oxygen sensor(s)
Bad fuel injector or more than one
Stuck exhaust valve
Bad catalytic converter
EGR valve or valve passage clogging
Bad camshaft position sensor
Bad PCM or ECM

The Fix
Best first action is a tune up, new plugs, wires, inspect all hoses and wire connections then reset the code. If it returns you will need to narrow it down to a system, coils and coil packs should be tested, catalytic converters for function ( do you smell rotten eggs?). A misfire that jumps cylinders could indicate a lean condition, do you have any other codes along with the 300? this will help clue you in to the source, check valve function to make sure they are opening and closing fully.
This is probably pone of the most difficult codes to troubleshoot, so start with the basics and work your way into the more expensive options, in many cases a good old tune up solves the problem, back it up with a fuel system cleaning and see where you stand.

Depends on the tread of the tire. You may have to cut the wheel well rubber. Why would you put 20's on that car anyway. Rotational Inertia is a term that you need to look up regarding wheel that are larger than 17".

The Body Control Module is a metal box about 5" x 8" x 2" thick. It has computer-like connections, one on the left and two on the right. It is located under the dash behind the fuse box.

Roy Boy 56 Says: The BCM is attached to the back side of the Fuse box by the Driver's door. Two Plugs on the side, and Two plugs on the bottom (Just had mine out - still working out the problems I caused). If you change the BCM out with a used one, it should be reprogrammed for your car (by VIN) at the dealership.

When you say "When I turn the key nothing." do you mean to say that there is no clicking sound, or any other sound of any kind? If so, you might need to have a new ignition switch installed. A man I know told me the same thing, and when I asked him to try it for me, he pulled out a set of keys that had to weigh 8 pounds. Ignition switches aren't made to carry a lot of weight, bouncing down the road. Steering columns are stuffed with parts. If the switch is your problem, I would not recommend trying to repair it yourself. If you know how to hot wire your car, do so, and then drive it to a Dodge dealership. At least that way you could save the towing fee. luck.

I assume that it is a power mirror. The first thing you'll need to do is disconect the negative cable on the battery. Once you've done this, you'll have to remove the door panel. a few of the screws that hold this on are a little tricky to find. there is one behind the door release handle, one down in the arm rest (these are under plastic covers that can be popped up with a small screwdriver). The tricky ones are behind the metal grill where the speaker is. this metal grill will come out by prying it out with a flathead screwdriver. there should be 2 or three screws behind it that also hold the door panel on. It's been a year since I've done this so I'm not sure on the exact amount of screws behind this grill. Don't confuse the screws that hold a speaker in. the rest of the panel should only be held in with pop off clips. once you have the panel off, at the top, where the mirror is, there is another small trim plat held on with a few screws. once you have the panel off there are 3 screws (8mm) that hold the mirror on. once you have the screws out then the unit should come off. Don't forget to unplug the wires to the mirror if it is a power mirror. I'm almost positive that all 2000 models came with power mirrors. Hope this helps

There is a technical service bulletin regarding a harsh 4 to 3 downshift on 2003 Stratus'. Look at ALLDATA TSB 21-006-03 rev. A. Your car's computer may need to be reflashed at the dealer. Hope this helps.

The Climate switch on this model is a "Resitor Switch" which means the full voltage is setting 4 ... 1-3 reduces the voltage making the blower motor go slower... This seems to be a common problem and the only fix is to rplace the switch... However the run around 125.00... Even though this seems to be a reoccuring problem Dodge does nothing about it except sell you a new switch.... 53K Miles on my 2002 and I am into my 3rd switch now... Don't bother changing the resistor switch because you will rack up too much money in replacing it every 2 months....I have replaced mine 3 x's now at $22.20 a peice from the dealership. The mechanics at Dodge know that this a problem with Stratus' and will tell you to replace the blower and switch, which in time, you will go through this whole process all over again. Chrysler is well aware of the problem and is not willing to do anything about it because of people like us replacing the part a million times & they continue to make money on it. Live with the fact of having heat and a/c on high for the duration of owning this vehichle!

Yes, bad spark pugs or plug wires can cause the engine cylinder to misfire which will cause the engine to vibrate.

Yes. Look at your fuse panel, located under the dash or behind the driver's kick panel. On the back of the cover is a diagram showing you which fuses control what. Find the one that says "taillight" and check to see if it's burned out. Find the one that says "headlight" and check it to make sure it's not burned out. Change the burned out fuse. Replace fusebox cover.

I installed a radiator in my wifes 2000 Dodge Stratus. What I done was buy a Hayes repair manuel. The air conditioning condensor is attached to the radiator . It was not a easy job for me but if you got smaller hands than me it mite not be so bad.
