It would be a bad idea to store drinking water in a Clorox bottle. Don't cause confusion by putting something safe to drink in a poison container. It could lead to tasting/drinking actual Clorox by mistake.

Creosote causes neurological problem if inhaled in higher concentrations, so while being diluted from the water over time it might cause problems. Of course it all depends on the strength of the preservative also and the concentration that actually gets into the water.

mine did for alittle before I could get her an appropriate bottle. Change it constantly and keep it very clean. Rats pee when they drink and can get it in their water bowl. No one likes drinking their pee
