How do you change a Rover 400 headlamp bulb?

The simple answer is with a lot of fun. The manual says just unclip the fixing spring, remove the old one & then re-fit a new one & put the spring clip back. What they do not tell you is on my 416 P reg, you cannot see the fixing pins for the clip due the way the light is made, so it I had to use a torch & a mirror to see where to do it. The Haynes manual also cheats by having the light unit out of the car to do it. If you want to take the light out instead again that's fun as the bumber has to come off!!!! Cheers Ahab

What is SRS Mercedes?

SRS = Supplimental Restraint Systems When you turn the ignition "on" all the vehicle management systems are checked out electronically........if the SRS indicator lamp is "off" after a few seconds the safety system is working OK, if the lamp stays "on" there is a malfunction with seatbelt tensioners or airbags. In this case you need to get the system checked in case your airbags trigger unexpectedly or maybe not at all in an accident.

Radio

How do you reset radio of a 1996 VW GTI I have the code but don't know how to reset it?

This is a cut and paste from

http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/4/124817.html

procedure - With the power on and SAFE showing on the display, press and hold the MODE and SCAN button together until SAFE changes to 1000. Release the buttons and using the first four station buttons enter the radio code.

Use button #1 to change the 1 to the correct code, pressing once will change to 2 twice to 3 etc

Use button number 2 to change the next number etc.

When you have entered the correct code; press and hold the SCAN and MODE buttons together until code disappears and radio comes on.

The key is in knowing the radio security code. It is a four digit number normally in the manual portfolio pack. Mine is on a small piece of paper marked "Radio Information" from the Mfg. Other people have posted that they have found this information in their manual, or on the door post. Others actually mention it being on the radio chasis, yet that would negate the idea of securing the radio from theft. The last choice is to contact the dealer with the VIN or the radio serial number.

What is hellaflush?

Hellaflush simply means having the wheel Flush with the fenders. This is usually achieved with wheel offset or spacers and usually requirers a good deal of negative camber.

This is a style that is growing at a very rapid pace. It originated from drift cars that were low and had wide wheels pushed out as far as possible. It is also very popular with VIP styled cars as well.

The term "Hellaflush" was coined by Fatlace, and is now one of their brands and the name of their most popular string of car shows. it seams they are slowly leaning toward "Slammed Society" for a brand name. But Hellaflush is here to stay.

How to reset the maintenance light after oil change?

turn the key to the accesories position. pump the break pedal 3 times. the check engin light should flash. then turn the key to the off position and then start the car. the light should reset.

I am not sure if that works I have a 2004 Odysey and I did this and it worked.

While the car is off, push and _hold_ in your Trip meter button, then while still holding that button in... turn your ignition key to _On_ (not start). Wait until light goes out or you need a hair cut... which ever comes 1st. LOL, seriously it should go out in about 15 seconds or less

For a 2007 Honda Odyssey: Turn your ignition to the On position. Press and hold down the trip meter button for ~10 seconds (until the display blinks). Release the trip meter button. Press and hold the trip meter button a second time for ~5 seconds (until the display shows your oil at 100%). Then after all this is done you add oil to the tank and put a lighter in your car seat and wait 15 minutes until you can get back in your car. Then start engine and relax. and remember not to follow any directions after the turn the key part. Thanks.

Not sure what vehicle you have but, the correct procdure would also be found in your drivers manual.

first check your balance on you tires local tire shop will usually balance new tires for free or if you have a reciept from where you purchased the tires some tire shops will balance for free if you bought the tires there if tires are not balanced it causes the vechicle to shake at about 30 mph if that's not it i don't know ask the shop who fixed your car to check it out they make sure it was fixed properly and possibly give you a recommendation as to what is causing the shaking if it isn't somthing they did wrong
