If the engine is running/idling to high, it will make putting it into reverse very difficult. Manual transmissions rarely have internal problems aside from clutch assembly replacement. That's not to say it couldn't have a problem though.

passenger footwell , by the kick panel

I recently had a problem with my ABS light coming on in my '03 Ford Explorer v6 flex fuel. I took it to the Ford Dealer and had them run a diagnostic on it and they said it was because of a code c1440, which was a Brake Deactivation Switch. The part cost about $20. Hope this helps someone.

Open the drivers door and on the end of the dash you will see a small removable plastic panel . The fuses are behind the panel . Also there are fuses and relays in the Power Distribution Box ( which is " live " ) located in the engine compartment on the drivers side

The 2002 Ford Explorer came in V6, V8 and Sport Trac models. There were different suspensions for each. If the 2002 Explorer had leaf springs these parts cost for wholesale can be around 140$. If the Explorer has coil springs a pair of two quality OEM replacements run around 70-100$. Maximum labor to install should be no more than 2-hours. Labor rates do vary by shop and dealer.

Depending of the year of your vehicule, the anti-theft light is located in the instrument cluster ( "theft" word flashing) or on the top of the dash, close to the defrost grill (a red light). When you turn the key to the ON position (when all the accessories are powered and the dash comes ON), when does the anti-theft light does? Does it shu down or blinks really fast?

It stop blinking and go off. Got a new starter, battery is charged but still don't hear anything when turning the key to start. What can the problem be?

It's a button on the end of the gear selector lever ( P R N etc . )

I have a 1996 Oldsmobile 88 and my fan stopped. While searching the internet I came across AUTOZONE.COM's Repair Site. It has a lot of info and diagrams. I cannot verify that the relay positions as listed are correct. The locations listed as ABS PUMP RELAY and MAIN RELAY are empty on my 1996, 88. I pulled the relay listed as BLOWER RELAY in the diagram. Here is the information on it: Pins: 5

There may not be. Blower motors do not draw enough current to actually NEED a relay. Disconnect power from the blower and see if it will run directly from the battery. If it does, you probably have a bad switch in the dash. If the blower WON'T run with a direct connection, you might just have a bad blower motor. I pulled the blower, and it works great. I am not getting any power to the breaker or fuse box slot for the blower, that's why I was hopeful about the relay. Did you check the resistor pack located in the duct from the blower? It's located where the blower motor plug connects. I had an external wire connector to this pack that overheated and went bad, but wasn't obvious until I looked hard.

On a friend's 2004 Eddie Bauer, if the turn signal is on "too long" she starts hearing a beeping noise.. I can't find anything in the owner's manual mentioning that ! ( It happens when she is merging onto the highway so the speed is up )

It may be a speed sensor failure. Try checking the codes with a OBD II reader. Most Auto Pats Stores will be happy to read the codes for you.

I was wondering this same question but specifically for a 4.0L V-6? As most 30+ adults I took the easy route, but this one I am going to have to look up. Fortunately the owners manual was still in the truck when I bought it, so I will have a correct answer for you.
