I have a Honda 1986 TRX200sx ATV and i am looking at the same thing ive looked online and edelbrock has carburetors but they are all for higher CC's and newer models so i don't know what have you came up with

OR just goto the Honda dealer and buy a jet kit for that model prolly 20-30 dollars..take the carb apart and count the turn out for each jet and right it down replace the jets and float and seat valve needle valve...put back together and good as new!!or you can buy a new 300$$ carb and pay a pro to jet it for you..its your choice,id rebuild it for cheap, its old and id even rebuild with a new ATV

Check the kill switch on the left handle bar.. just to the left of the starter button.

You have to take off the carburetor. After that you will see two little plugs in it. You take those out and they will have little holes in them. You get a drill bit a little bigger than the hole and bore bigger holes in the plugs. After you put the carburetor back in, you may have to reset the idle. It will take up more gas but it will go faster.

To time a 2001 Honda Rancher, first ensure the engine is at top dead center (TDC) on the compression stroke for the number one cylinder. Remove the spark plug and insert a timing light or use a timing mark on the flywheel. Adjust the ignition timing as necessary by loosening the timing plate and rotating it until the timing light indicates the correct timing mark. Finally, tighten the plate and recheck the timing to ensure it's properly set.

right above the right foot rest and brake there will be a clear glass about the size of a quarter, you should be able to see the oil level. if not, it needs sum BAD

First check to see if you have fire at the spark plug . You will probably have to remove the gas tank and clean out the old gas and flush with good gas . Remove and cleen carb cleaning the jets is high priority . You will probably have to replace the float valve as they will normally be bad . Check and see if you have compression by holding your finger over the sparkplug hole and turning over the engine . See if it will blow your finger off .If it wont you might need to adjust the valves , to gain compression . Hopefully that will get you going .

sounds like the starter gear is not engaging right, or worn out... real common.

well if you want visual upgrades start out with some Nerf bars, bumper, and handle bars. if you wan performance you can start with an exhaust then from there on you can get it jetted, bore it out and install a high compression piston, stage 2 hot cams this will give you a ton more power

Vin location on mine is on the frame rail behind the shift lever..i used a straight grinder with a wire wheel to find it

you remove the spark arrestor by taking the little screws that are at the end of the tip then yank it out with pliers

i have a trx 250x, but i alternate tire sizes a lot, with the normal sized ones, i can get 60 mph out of it, then when i put the smaller tires on it, i can only get 52mph out of it, but as far as if everything were stock, id say close to 60mph..

id check the stater plate and make sure its rust free and then there should be an electrode plate that will keep your headlights at a steady strem of light that may be bad or disconnected also never rule out burn-bare touching wires too

tranmission is in a bind and not letting it bring it out
