How do you draw faces?

well I usually start off with a nice round circle......then I dot 2 eyes and a mouth and make an upside down v for the nose.....hope that helped....

Portrait drawing is IMHO the highest genre of realist and representational drawing. The most effective way to begin a portrait drawing is by first establishing the outside shape of the head and then fixing into place the major landmarks such as the brow ridge, base of the nose and width of the face.

Portrait drawing requires a skill level that really needs to be both acquired and hone.

A site that I use to get free portrait drawing lessons is http://www.artacademy.com. I'm sure one of their lessons will get you started on the right track.

What was teenage life like in the early 1900s?

It was very difficult living in the 1900s. Most teens didn't go to school but helped their parents on the farm or mills. If they did go to school they went to a crowded and unwealthy school. Only the rich and wealthy had a good life. Very few had good transportation and many families had to resort to walking. Your life today is much more survivable than back in the early 1900s.

Was George Washington a hero Why or Why not?

Washington was definitely a hero. He commanded the colonial army which was much more difficult than just making military strategy. He had to constantly work to keep his men together and to get his army supplied. The colonies had little taxing power and little money and did not always send their share of supplies. The men volunteered for a fixed period of time and often left the army once their hitch was up. He had few regulars. Mostly he had to train farmers to be soldiers. He had to personally inspire them to serve. After he won the war, he was a leader in setting up the new government and served as its first president. However, even though he might have served much longer, he stepped down after two terms because that was the plan of the new government- to abolish the office of king. A lesser man might have given up on the war and if he won, he might have made himself dictator as have so many leaders of other countries.
