Who was in charge of Nazi Art and Culture?

Each individual concentration camp would be controlled by a different officer, who would report to their leader within the SS, who would report to Heimlich (Leader of SS) who works for Hitler.

Hitler set the order out personally, using the Jews as a scape-goat for the crisis Germany were in at the time (people out of jobs, major money issues and a mass food loss).

Hitler looked over the whole procedure, but it would just be any high ranking officer who would look over the individual camps.

Who is Hitler in 'To Kill a Mockingbird'?

In chapter twenty-six, the children are asked to research current events for Mrs. Gate's (Scout's teacher) class. The most commonly brought up current event is Hitler's suppression of the Jewish race. Hitler is trying to rid the world of Jews, as well as Gypsies, because he believes they are an inferior race. Basically, the same thing is happening in the US, just on a smaller scale. White people believe that Black people are inferior, and blacks aren't given as many rights or privileges. Both are dealing with the suppression of a certain race. Going back to the book, Mrs. Gates tells her students that the suppression of any race is not right, and she strongly opposes it. She, nonetheless, treats black people without respect. Scout recognizes this and understands that what Mrs. Gates does is different from what she says. You may have heard the common phrase, "practice what you preach." This ties directly into this subject.

Is the weight of an object equal to the weight of the water it displaces?

The weight of the object is equaled to the level of the displaced water minus the original water level before the object was placed in it.|

I.e. Original water level was: 150 ml. When we placed a rock inside the water, it displaced the water and the water level now sits at 200ml.

200 ml - 150 ml = 50 ml.

So the object weighs about 50 mL or 50g since 1 mL of water is 1g.

What was the role of Joseph Goebbels in Nazi Germany?

Josef Goebbels (1897-1945) was one of the main political leaders in Nazi-Germany, during World War 2. He was Minister of Propaganda, and was very skilled at manipulating information in a way that helped the regime. Goebbels had been a journalist and a (failed) writer before becoming Minister. He used many modern techniques, especially the radio and cinema, but also newspapers, posters, paintings etc., to broadcast his propaganda messages. Goebbels was absolutely fanatic; he ordered operations like the public mass-burning of books (called "auto da-fe"), after issuing lists of books that the German people was forbidden to buy or read. Every media was strictly controlled, everything was done to prevent the people from reading, watching, listening to any free information. Theatre, art, movies, books... : everything was supposed to make the German people believe that Hitler was their great leader, that the country was going to take over Europe to make it a better place, that the Jews were a nuisance, etc. This propaganda was intented to control what people thought and believed. However, Goebbels was high-educated, and in a way he tried to save a part of the very rich German cultural heritage, partly because it contributed to the prestige of the country. As the Propaganda minister, he made huge campaigns with specific aims, like in 1939, in order to give Germany a reason to invade Poland, he imagined a complex scenario with false radio messages pretending that German minorities in Poland were being abused, thus giving Germany an excuse to invade the country. He was one of Hitler's closest advisors and he strongly believed that Hitler was right. Therefore, even at the very end of the war, when it had become clear that Germany was losing the war and that Hitler was becoming almost crazy, Goebbels remained with Hitler in a bunker, under the Chancellery in Berlin, unlike some high officers and close advisors, who tried to escape Berlin before the Allies enter the city. Goebbels committed suicide with his wife (after killing their 6 children), in the bunker, one day after Hitler's suicide. He had thus been the Reich Chancellor for one day, since Hitler had appointed him to be his successor at the head of the falling German Empire.

What was the Arbeitsdorf?

Arbeitsdorf was a concentration camp established by the Nazis in 1942. In 1936, a German car engineer named Ferdinand Porche designed a prototype of a car that would be affordable enough for all Germans to buy. He showed his idea to the then dictator of Germany, Adolf Hitler. Hitler liked his idea and ordered the manufacture of the car which was known as the KDF-Wagen or later known as the Volkswagen vehicle. With Hitler's approval, Porche and his partner Albert Speer set up a factory in Fallersleben, a town 30 miles northeast of the city of Braunschweig, and because of the war, all production from this camp was to be used for military purposes only. In 1942, Porche and Speer started a project to see how to use concentration camp prisoners for the benefit of their industry. So on April 8, 1942, a new camp, Arbeitsdorf, was opened to produce the KDF-Wagen for cheaper and large-scale production. On October 11, 1942, six months after the camp was first established, production of the vehicles was stopped and the camp was closed. A minimum of 600 prisoners perished at Arbeitsdorf.

Why was Adolf Hitler Anti-Semitic?

He was brought up by two parents that despised Jews, who then passed on that loathing to their son Adolf. While he did not originally set his life on exterminating the Jewish people, the hate he had been taught by his parents was a large part of his politics that he eagerly provided when a broken down Germany (after WWI) needed someone to blame. Yes in truth he was.
